We dined early on a Saturday evening and the food was excellent in both taste and appearance. The Granville Inn is a great location, old Inn, great woodwork and architecture with a lot of local history. Our server was ok, although could have been a bit more helpful in answering some menu questions. The bus attendant left dishes on the table from several courses, didn't bring new silverware when the salad forks were used for appetizers, he simply placed the fork on the bread dish. That's ok at a chain restaurant, but would expect a place like the Granville Inn to train their people better. Also, after dinner, no crumbs taken off the table before desert menus were presented. However, it was still a very good dinner, the food being the star. But it could have been a great dinner.

My wife and I stopped for dinner on way to her high school reunion. I ordered the wedge salad and salmon. Both were excellent with large portions and neat presentation. My wife had the salad on the menu above mine which was really good and the chicken lime lavender was excellent.

The inn is closing for renovation on August 4th for approximately 9 months. I checked and the chef and most employees will be coming back when completed. The inn is in close proximity to Dennison University and was recently purchased by the university.
The Granville area also has excellent B and B s within a mile or two of the university. I will be reviewing one at the conclusion of our trip.

We started our Granville get-away day (from Columbus) at the Granville Inn for Sunday Brunch. we booked the night before, online, for right when it opened, and there was some others there but it was not busy (could have walked in too). We started with bloody mary (asparagus and all) and mimosa with elderflower liquor (both good!), and the Apple Fritter basket with Carmel sauce which was great!! We had the house omelet with crab, and quiche. Both were really good, and portions were satisfying but no leftovers. Price was great, and such a cool place. We loved learning all about the Inn and the family that owned it. A gorgeous building too. Recommend for those in town, and in Columbus (worth the 35 min drive or less).

Beautiful old inn, great ambiance- their signature tea is lovely and dessert was fabulous We were only here for dessert, but next time we will be sure to stay for an entire meal. You could get dressed up, but if you are dressed casually you will not feel out of place. Great service.

The Granville Inn has been around for about a century. It is a beautiful stone Inn with a formal dining room as well as a more casual pub area. The food was creative and perfectly prepared, using many local ingredients. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!
