Open all year round Wellingtons is a lovely traditional family run Cafe restaurant directly opposite Deal pier with great views across the English Channel. As well as inside seating they've got tables outside the front along with a wonderfully sheltered patio at the rear where you can catch up on all the latest gossip over a coffee or two with friends .

It's not a tablecloth and flowers type venue and frankly none the worse for it either as the prices and food quality are both excellent!. With superb breakfasts and locally caught Battered Cod and Chips( that put many a Chippy to shame) being particular favourites of ours, the menu along with changing specials has more than enough delicious freshly cooked food to keep us going back on a regular basis.

If you're visiting Deal and looking for somewhere to eat you really won't go wrong sampling the great food, hospitality and friendly atmosphere that the Wellingtons team bring to this great little place!

Thanks "Bro" and "Co" for looking after everyone so well!!!

Very enjoyable late breakfast. Good coffee and a fine breakfast with good quality sausages. Great service, great value and all taken in the nice little patio out the back of the cafe. Also dog-friendly! The interior is strictly no frills but it does what is says on the tin very well.

Deal was extremely busy and it was lovely to escape into a quiet restaurant/cafe. Very friendly staff (quite young) referring to us as 'friends' and 'bro'! Quite empty with lots of free tables that were all clean and had been cleared. Wide age gap - there were elderly couples in there alongside teenagers and children.
'Thick' milkshakes were 5 star, full of ice cream and very flavoursome. Tea was nice but just average and hot chocolate was generous with lots of cream and marshmallows but not professionally made.
Definitely family friendly with a large variety on the menu and lovely locations with a pretty view of the sea right out side. Very much recommended :)

We were recommended to go here for breakfast so went this morning with daughter and fiance. What a disappointment!!! On arrival there were tables that hadn't been cleared, but managed to find a clean one. Everything felt "tacky" on the table (including the menu). We were approached almost immediately by a friendly member of staff, but as there was only one menu, we hadn't actually all had time to look at it. However she was fine and told us she would come back in a while which she did. Once the order was taken she came back a little while later with our drinks. We then had to wait over half an hour for our food to be delivered to the table. The other people in the place were already eating or had already ordered, so we assumed we were virtually next on the list!! People came and sat next to us a short while after us and we could hear them complaining about the wait too, and at one point asked the staff how long their food would be. At one point we considered actually paying for the drinks we'd had and leaving! When the food eventually arrived it was ok, very ordinary! I most certainly would not revisit or recommend anyone to go there! To top it all they do not accept card payment which meant digging around to find enough cash to pay.
