“Wow! More please.........”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

Wish it were open all week and not just at the weekend. Everything on offer is of high quality and so tasty. My favourite sweet treats are the orange and almond cake and the sugar free fruit cake, so moist and spicy. I usually have pizza and also love the sausage rolls as they contain apricot! This little bakery isn't as cheap as others but everything is hand made by the husband and wife proprietors and I don't mind paying a little more if the food is worth it, it certainly is at the Bakehouse. I'd recommend it without hesitation to all visiting or living in Deal. Get there early as they close when sold out.

“What the high street should be about”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

As a shopkeeper myself I am really delighted to see businesses like the Bakehouse on Deal High Street. They do what they do with love, passion and originality and produce fantastic quality. I heard from somebody who knows the owners that they are finding it really hard work but I say it is really worth it. Your customers love you and you are showing the way. Please hang in there...

“The most amazing find!”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

Just had the most scrumptious quiche and delicious wholemeal bread I have ever had! The bakehouse really is selling wonderful food!!!! Will be becoming a regular.

TIP: get there early or put in an order the day before because they run out of food by about 13:00. We made 4 trips prior to this one and always arrived to find it shut with a note on the door saying 'sold out'.

“This is what all food shops should be like!”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

What a fantastic place The Bake House is... we were addicted to the gorgeous, wholesome food produced here since it opened - a recent gluten-free regimen has reduced what I can eat but the range of gluten free cakes is growing and are delicious. My husband pulls his weight in sampling everything else - pizzas, quiches, sausage rolls like you've never tasted ... pastry is a delight and chocolate brownies to spoil you for any other version of that confection. the cakes are really proper food that you can taste the goodness in - planetary distances removed from supermarket cakes. You have to try if in Deal on a Friday or Saturday - you won't be disappointed and you might just get hooked!

“Fabulous birthday cake”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

I asked the Bakehouse to make a special birthday cake and the result was stunning. They created a wonderful replica of the curtains of the Royal Opera House, complete with waves in the curtains, a crest and gold leaf. Better still, it tasted as good as it looked.
