We spent just the one night at this lovely manor house and after the experience have promised ourselves a return visit. We were warmly welcomed,by Lynn, as though we were the first guests ever to visit the house. Tea and cake were served in the kitchen before being shown to our spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated room. Lynn was the perfect hostess, recommending places to eat and visit in the locality. At breakfast we met Jonathan, who was equally as charming engaging in conversation about Michael Portillo's stay at the Manor while filming Great Railway Journeys of the World. The breakfast table was adorned with a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, jams and preserves and while we ate Lynn was effortlessly preparing the cooked breakfast which was delicious. We cannot recommend Starborough Manor highly enough, it was a first class experience.

Room Tip: The green room is superb!

Our three day stay at this beautiful manor house was perfect in every way: close to Chartwell, Greenwich, and many other venues; Quiet and tranquil despite proximity to London; warmly and expertly hosted by Lynn, Jonathan and Honey. The bounteous breakfasts prepared by Lynn that start each day are wonderful memories in themselves.

Just spent four nights at Starborough Manor largely on the strength of the many excellent reviews on TripAdvisor.

We were not to be disappointed. The location is quiet without being remote, and the accomodation was superb. The room was immaculate and the grounds a delight even in mid October. Breakfasts were super and our hosts delightful.

Do yourself a favour and book the Starborough. You'll be glad you did !!

I stayed here for one night on a business trip with two colleagues, and we all were very impressed. The grounds, the Manor hose, the decor, the welcome, the charming room, the wonderful breakfast, the very pleasant hostess..... it was a delight.

Every aspect of the stay was high quality.

I stayed in the Green Room which was very spacious, and loved the comfy super-king bed. The decor was perfectly matched to this pretty country residence, all in perfect condition, and muted colour schemes for a relaxing ambience. A great tea tray with a selection of cookies and wide range of tea anc coffee options was very welcome. The TV was a large flat screen with freeview, and I could be wrong but I think there was a DVD player...

The room has a bookshelf stacked with something for all moods, and I believe there were a couple of sitting rooms somewhere, with children's games and DVDs.

The ensuite bathroom was large and had pretty views from two large windows, and there was a fluffy huge bath sheet, hand towel, flannel, and even a bath robe!!

For breakfast, there were loads of cereal options, multiple tea and fresh coffee options, fresh orange juice, a wide range of condiments to put on the toast (three types of bread). The cooked options were very varied - you could have pretty much any breakfast option you can imagine. Oh and let's not forget fresh strawberries, blueberries and pineapple!

This was all eaten in a beautiful peaceful kitchen dining room with lovely crockery, folded napkins and good cutlery.

Oh I must not neglect the welcome the family's golden retriever gave us each time we returned to the Manor... what a darling!

This felt so warm and welcoming it was like I was staying with family, although on a grand scale. A much better option than the Marriott!

Room Tip: Phone through to chat with the hostess about your needs.

Our 3 person family spent a wonderful 3 nights at Starborough Manor in late July. We had the family room with three beds. Starborough Manor is in a beautiful rural location, but very close to many major sites, including Hever Castle, Churchill's Chartwell Home, Knowle House, etc. It is also a couple of miles from a some really good pubs that serve good food. We especially enjoyed the Hare & Hound - less than a ten minute drive. The grounds of Starborough are very well maintained, as is the home. The English breakfasts were great. Hosts Lynn and Jonathan were very friendly and helpful. All in all, an outstanding experience.

We stayed for a couple of nights to attend an anniversary party nearby and also enjoy some of the local stately homes & gardens of which there are many in the area. We were greeted by owner Lynn who made us tea in the kitchen before being shown our large luxurious room, en suite, and the guest lounge, kitchen, & dining room. The house has been superbly restored to provide very comfortable modern living. Next morning Lynn & Johnny proved excellent hosts with Johnny being the weekend cook providing excellent individually cooked breakfasts for each of the 8 guests staying on the first night that we were there. The whole place was spotless, the beds supremely comfortable, and all in all the whole experience was a great credit to the hosts.

Room Tip: All are delightful
