We were staying at the Premier Inn opposite so tried it out for dinner the night we arrived. Service was very friendly but slow and food was only ok and not particularly hot. For ease we went there again the following night and wished we hadn't. It wasn't very busy and started off well with speedy order taking and drink arrival. Went rapidly downhill from there as the place got busier and our waiter seemed to be covering the whole restaurant. We sent back one meal as it wasn't very nice but no offer of a replacement or alternative and had to request a complimentary dessert. We also had issues with another dessert that had pieces of some apple core in it. By this point we'd had enough as we'd been there for nearly 2 hours and hadn't had a satisfactory meal. Thankfully we got a significant discount but certainly wouldn't recommend.
We'd paid for breakfast for the 4 nights we were there so had no alternative but to go there. Again service was friendly but slow. They seem chronically understaffed and food takes an age to come out of the kitchen. You had to allow an hour if you wanted to have a cooked breakfast.
We were staying at the Premier Inn to visit family nearby but the quality of this restaurant means we will look to stay somewhere else in future.
