“Lovely family pub!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

We were pleasantly surprised with this pub. The owners were lovely and their little girls were the nicest little girls we've meet and very happy to share their toys with our child!! A real family pub. The food was nice. Would defiantly recommend the choc fudge cake.... Amazing :) reasonably priced too!!!!

“Good value menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

On a recent visit to this pub my wife and I decided to order lunch. On checking the menu we were pleasantly surprised at the extensive choices offered at very competitive prices
We both ordered the sirloin steak and this arrived beautifully presented with all the trimmings
This proved to be a great choice.
If you are in the area do give this pub a try for a meal
You will not be disappointed

“Excellent food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2014

My partner and I visited this pub for lunch on a Wednesday, the food was excellent and we were able to choose from a comprehensive menu. I chose the home made beef pie and he had the gammon steak, both meals were well cooked and plentiful, The young lady who served us was pleasant, helpful and efficient and the gentleman owner was also very sociable. I don't really want to say anything negative about this pub as it appears to be family run and very friendly but I have to say that the two children from the family were running around the bar and I think could be off putting to some clientele, it's true that the pub was not busy, in fact we were the only two diners at the time so maybe at busier times there would be more control over the children. I also would say don't be put off by the outside or the first entrance to the bar as these were both very untidy, however I must sum up by saying that the food was really well cooked and good value for the money.

“Good local nosh”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2014

We popped by here for our Sunday lunch as heard it was good food. Nice cosy pub. Food was really tasty, haven't had food quite as nice in a long while, gravy was 1st class. I would recommend this place.
One little problem on the day was 2 little children running around under nearby tables. Nice little kids but we were tired and just wanted a quiet meal.
