“check it out”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

We have eaten here once before in 2009, it was good then.
Nothing has changed there is seating inside and out, the is a good menu with a chalk board also to choose from.
The King Ethelbert is situated close to the Reculver Towers a very popular tourist attraction.
There is a good path to walk along the coast from here, and judging by the amount of people walking about with fishing gear it must be a good beach for fishing.
The food was excellent the service good and prompt. They serve real ale .There is a car park and a public car park right across the road. Head for Herne Bay and follow the signs to Reculver until you have to stop an you have arrived. Go on Go on...

“sunday lunch”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

today (Sunday 9th Feb 2014 decided to book a table for Sunday lunch,
glad we booked as the Pub was very busy, was greeted by the Land lord and shown to our table, we ordered our lunches which was excellent value for money £5.99 for a roast (Pork or Beef).
had couple pints of Wansum Ale which is always very good, (well kept pumps),
The King Ethelbert is a great Pub (local to me) right on sea front at Reculver Bay.
No matter what the weather this pub should be tried by all..
wont go on any more.. try it out for yourself... great
