Stunning scenery, lovely walk with the dogs to the pub, lovely lunch and plenty of water tubs for the dogs.

After visiting the ruins we headed into the pub for a look at their menu. The specials were all tempting but the lemon sole won, along with a traditional Ploughmans for me.
Fab service, the locals sat talking about our bike and where we had visited today. Food was awesome, the lemon sole was amazing so soft and flavoursome, the Ploughmans was worth every penny and we felt well and truly stuffed. Definitely worth a stop by.

Unfriendly and slow service, very average food, pork roast must have been out of a packet, cheap though but will not return

How disappointing.
I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your visit.
As a general rule food will be served within 20 minutes. There are times when due to high demand there will be a wait on food, especially on Sundays when we turn around in the region of 200 lunches, this is unavoidable I'm afraid, however, if the wait is longer than this then you should have been informed by your server when you placed your order. We also pride ourselves on the quality of all meals and so wish you had given us an opportunity to put right a meal if you felt it was less than satisfactory in standard.
I hope you will be willing to give us another try.
Thank you for taking the time to place a review for us.

After cycling from Ramsgate in the wind this was a delightful pit stop. Very "cyclist friendly" as it seems lots of people pulling up on bikes to stop and have a drink or bite to eat. We stopped for dinner and pudding and were very pleased with the taste of the food. This place has a great atmosphere too and it's all very relaxed - we had a hard time dragging ourselves away for the cycle home. Looking forward to going back!

A really nice pub serving reasonably priced food. We went on a sunny Sunday, and so it was very busy. They have a stall open selling sea food and a nice children's play area. They are also dog friendly so a good place to walk the dog along the coast and pop in for a bite to eat and a drink. Friendly staff too.
