“Good food at an excellent price”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

This Pub gets really busy, and it's no mystery why. The food is plentiful and filling and is really well priced. There is a large pay & display car park opposite and access for my wife's wheelchair is very good. The staff are quick and attentive and there is always a good atmosphere in the bar. Because they can get so busy the wait for food can become long, but this is unusual and understandable. You do get what you pay for, and cheap and cheerful is what this is. Forget it if you want a classy meal, thus is pub grub at its best.

“Very good value for money”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Situated in Reculver Kent, the king Ethelbert inn (which is right on the seafront) has a good sized beer garden, which has a few swings etc for the children. It is also very popular with dog walkers. The pub/restaurant is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. The staff are very friendly and there is a daily special board to chose from as well as the usual menu.

We have eaten there before, Sunday roast, which was lovely and good value.
This time we decided to have a starter and a main meal....big mistake for us...as the starter was rather large very nice but too big for us!....we found it hard to eat our meal. When we went the next day we stuck to a main meal only!

If you are in the area it's defiantly worth a visit!

We will certainly be going back.

“Average food”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

we had lunch here, granted it was on a very hot Sunday afternoon so the place was pretty packed. Had to wait quite a long time for our food but apologies were forthcoming.
Food was pretty average, we had baguettes, one with Ham and one BLT. Bacon looked like it had only been cooked on one side and very fatty. Both came with wilted salad and coleslaw. Salad speaks for itself and coleslaw was more mayo than cabbage. Wouldn't hurry back.
