my husband booked two tickets for this evenings Monty Phython nearly live final showing. We assumed that 7.00 pm was the start time as that was what was on the ticket. We arrived approx 6.45pm and went to go through to the main auditorium, but were told by, presumably a member of staff, sitting in the back row of seats, with his feet up on the seats in front, that we could not go in yet, because they were not ready. There were a lot of people arriving, the entrance to the cinema was hot and crowded with very little seating. There were quite a few elderly people with walking sticks who appeared to be struggling to stand for any length of time It is quite normal to arrive at the cinema, find your seat and get comfortable for the performance but this was not the case this evening. Eventually the doors were open but there was no explanation of why we could not go and sit down and wait instead of having to stand in a hot sticky atmosphere. By way of warning, this cinema quite clearly states that it does not have air conditioning.

Do NOT attempt a 17.45 showing of ANY 12A film at the Kavanagh! My two daughters and myself went to see the very emotive film The Fault In Our Stars at this time. We suffered disrespectful behaviour throughout the film from groups of young girls in the row in front and behind us. Loud inappropriate language and use of phones. Had any member of staff entered the auditorium at ANY point in the film they would have witnessed it! but no one came in. On leaving I mentioned the shocking behaviour of these young people (?) The young lad behind the desk said "well no one came out to complain", yeah right, who is going to do that? One miss the film & two suffer the ridicule of a group already showing complete disregard for everyone else! This is the second film we've seen at the Kavanagh that's been ruined by anti social behaviour. Before contemplating a visit consider the target audience and viewing time very carefully. We just threw our money away! Come on Kavanagh take charge and get your staff to check inside the auditorium during the film. It ain't rocket science given the time, certification & your demographic that such behaviour, sadly, can be inevitable.

We have visited this cinema quite a lot this year and must say it has impressed so far. The food on offer is competitive, the chairs comfortable enough, booster seats for little ones are available and the cinemas prices are excellent. Only £4 with a bay card. Great value.

We paid a visit to this cinema after rain stopped play during our weeks holiday on the Kent coast. Its a great little cinema, only two screens but just right. The other thing that's also great about this place is the price, just £4 a ticket during the day. Great value compared to those other over priced 'big' cinema's. Well worth a visit.

Thank King S
