Very nice decor and ambience, friendly welcome. The appetizer was a piece of art and so tasty . Then my oysters, delicate, wonderful. My steak was the best ever, cooked to perfection. The restroom is nice. Wine, brandies and coffee all perfect. We will be back.

Spent Tuesday evening in the Oyster and Chop House with family including world famous guitarist whom i will not name,oh all right then it was Albert Lee ,world travelling guitarist who has eaten in some of the finest restaurants worldwide but commented that he was amazed at finding the quality of food and service in Herne Bay.3 of the party are chefs nightmare!!!!!!!!! vegetarians .The service was first class as usual, and the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable,Herne Bays "Turner Centre" as everything presented to us was a work of art.Once inside the restaurant you could be anywhere and the food, drink and attendance are first class.Everyone was relaxed happy and well fed at the end of the evening and judging by Alberts response we may see more famous faces dining in the Bay

We visited for the third time last night and was yet again wowed by the standard of food and wonderful service. The Oyster and Chop house deserves to be the number one restaurant in Kent. It was my birthday and they had squeezed us in at the last minute. Sadly some of the party couldn't make it on the night and so the table was halved, some restaurant owners would have been snooty about this but they treated us like old friends and I am so grateful! The food was delicious, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, scallops just melt in your mouth. If you are thinking of visiting, please do, you won't regret it.

We visited this quaint restaurant with friends this summer. I can honestly say it was the best food I have had dining out. The service was amazing, the unique dishes were inspired and the atmosphere was relaxing but still modern and clean.

Just cannot stay away from this fabulous place. The complimentary home baked bread sets the standard for the rest of the meal. Such a varied menu and Jeff does try his best to get us to stray from out of our comfort zone but we like our lamb.

Very busy when we went on a Friday night and we just got a table. Pleased that this restaurant is so successful. They deserve it.
