A super addition -offering Tea and cakes of the 1940's (incuding dress and music of the period) to the attractions on offer in Herne Bay-together with all the other new Village Huts now occupying The Pier.

“Bijou 1940s Vintage Tea Room”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

Absolutely loved high tea today at Vintage Empire! The sun was shining and there were plenty of seats around 3pm. We decided in High Tea for 2 which was £15 and included a doorstop wedge sandwich filled with your choice of filling, a cake of your choice and a warm scone with cream and jam. We had a big pot of tea made from tea leaves which was delicious and a free top up.
The food was homemade, big hearty portion sizes and beautifully presented on a cake stand. The scone and Victoria sponge was particularly nice!
Loved the mismatched china, service from a 1940s dressed Natasha and the whole design of the beach hut.
Was really busy and people were turned away because there weren't enough seats so get there early.
