“great oysters in batter”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

my partner uses this restaurant whilst on business and always raves about the food especially the deep fried battered oysters. we were staying in westgate and went there without booking and managed to get a table as it was early. I must say the oysters were fabulous. I haven't dared try them raw as yet but will definitely have them battered again, they taste of the sea! I had sea bream with a lemon risotto that was perfectly cooked, other half had the dover sole which was equally good. the service is very good with knowledgeable and attentive staff. a lovely evening with great food what more can I say

“Great fish restaurant in a great location”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

On a really sunny spring day trip to the seaside this was a great find in Herne Bay. A spur of the moment decision, we were tempted by the menu on the board and the well priced 2 course lunch offer. We were early for lunch and they had space but it soon got busy (with a lot of bookings including families with children). The courses were well cooked with fresh salads and vegetables and, needless to say, excellent fish. Definitely not a fish and chip shop if that is what you are looking for but there are a lot of those in Herne Bay. The staff were attentive, switched on and accurate. An excellent experience.

“Fantastic dinner”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We chose to eat with friends for dinner on a Tuesday evening and the food was absolutely fantastic. We all had a different starter and a different main course. It did take sometime between starter and main course, however, we put this down to having all chosen a different main course. There were only 9 diners including our party of four, therefore there was not a lot of atmosphere and we felt we were imposing after as all the other guests had left by 9 pm. This aside the food was superb and the lady who served us was very pleasant and attentive.

“Great little fish restaurant”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

Spur of the moment drive to Herne Bay stumbled across this restaurant all on its own at the end of the pier. Had half dozen oysters scrummy. As I wasn't overly hungry had the fish soup as a main - excellent choice very tasty very fishy and beautifully presented. Husband had shrimp croquet and poached cod in white wine sauce from the lunch menu, very good value at £12. Cod cooked to perfection and the croquet was very enjoyable. My husband said he would eat a plate full of them as a main. Had a couple of Bellini's to drink. Very pleasant staff and good service can't wait to go again.
