We booked via spa seekers and got an amazing value for money deal. The spa is small and a bit dark and pokey but the treatment we received was fine. There weren't any areas to relax in spa apart from a very dark supposedly warm stone area that looked like a grotty underground cave! The swimming pool/jacuzzi etc are in another part of building but are we resourced and clean but busy. You have to hire robes. You probably could not spend a whole day here as a spa experience. The hotel is in a stunning location and we had an amazing sea view from our room. The room was dated and tired but comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. The deal we got was great value for money and the view/location of the hotel made it. We had a great relaxing time. It is also 20 mins from designer outlet in Ashford which we visited twice!!! A busy hotel and suitable for all age ranges.

Very nice becoming moreso modern hotel. Alot of money spent on it so far. Staff excellent apart from the check in lady ( totally didn't listen to my spelling of the surname). Lovely room and great food. Disappointed our booking didn't include yummy breakfast but it was worth the £15.95 PP. WOULD DEFFO GO BACK.

The night porter (gentleman at the desk) was excellent warm , welcoming and actually taking interest in us something that perhaps the ladies at reception (I hate to admit) should learn from , the were very frosty and aloof especially on our arrival. Not what you need after travelling 7 long hours in the car.
The Hotel, staff, and stay was otherwise wonderful.

This was my first stay at this hotel,I booked a spa experience through spa breaks to treat my daughter to a relaxing time before her forthcoming wedding. We couldn't get into our rooms until 2pm so decided to use the jacuzzi pool, steam room, sauna and pool. This was all lovely, but wondered why we hadn't been given our robes, my daughter spoke to one of the facilities men who said they would be in our room, (which we couldnt get into until 2pm)He was very kind and fetched them for us, which made us more comfortable while relaxing on the beds, round the pool area.Eventually we decided to got to the bar area for a drink and lunch at 2.05. to be told that there was no food being served until at least 7pm! as the kitchen was closed. we plumped for a drink feeling a bit disgruntled as we were hungry and hadn't eaten since early morning. and we were still dressed in our robes and damp from the pool etc. The bar didn't
even have any nibbles!! luckily for us the the same man came to our rescue and informed the manager, he came to see us and and apologised and eventually got us a sandwich made which we got at about 3.30. I truly believe that a 4 star hotel should have some kind of food available for their clients 24 hours a day!
We had a fabulous massage at four and were made to feel very welcome in the spa area. overall we had a nice time but, think the cleanliness of the hotel needed looking at, there was fluff all up the stairs to the rooms the whole time we were there! room was lovely , dinner was very nice too. Breakfast was excellent apart from my daughter being given luke warm water for her tea! Also the main bar service was poor,we had to wait a long time and then when we got served the girl didn't know the drinks, my daughter asked for canadian club which was on the shelf infront of her.

Have just returned from a last minute break with my Husband and 5 year old son and am very impressed with how the renovation project is coming along.
I was most impressed with how they have managed to modernise the hotel without loosing all the traditional charm and features.
Check in staff were very friendly and attentive to my very excited son, service like this was received right through our stay.
We stayed in an executive room which was one of the rooms that have been refurbished, not all of the rooms have been yet, it was a large room with plenty of space for a double and single bed, I think even with another single bed in there it still would have had plenty of room.
There is a still some work going on at the hotel as they are opening a sun terrace which will have lovely sea views, this is planned to be completed for July this year.
We didn't eat dinner at the resturant preffering to the 10 minute stroll into town, beware most resturants in town close on a Monday but we did find a lovely Thai Resturant which was definitely worth a visit.
The pool area was really nice and they had a few classes going on in the gym, they seemed to have one every hour on a Monday.
Down by the spa area there is another bar an area where you can sit outside and watch the kids play in the little playground and in front if the hotel there is a massive lawn for the kids to play on.
I believe this hotel now has various different childrens activities on at peak times.
If your looking for a seaside hotel in a location where there is loads to do for the kids, in Hythe you can spend time on the beach, take a mini train to oter areas including Dynchurch where there is a small childrens fun fair and hire out boats, you can't go wrong with this hotel.
Tip on the room, in summer remember to keep the bathroom door open as the heated towel rail is always on and very quickly heat up your room.

Room Tip: Check that the room you are booking has been renovated or you may end up disappointed
