“Favourite place!”

This is a lovely beach, have grown up here. It is really close to lots of amenities but never gets over crowded. So lucky that we live here and can make the most of it!

“Lovely walk”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Get your walking shoes on !! This beach is pebbles and can be steep . I normally opt for st Mary's bay for quiet Sandy beach but Hythe is good for parking, snacks, people watching and fishing , can be a pain when full of fishermen as it's almost un usable, you can walk the 5 mile promenade into Folkestone harbour ! It's clean and if you don't mind Stoney beaches it's lovely

“Safe and family friendly”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

The beach is shingle with a small man made sand area. The beach goes down in steep steps. There is a promenade that is a pleasure to walk on, you share it with cyclists, runners, scooters dog walkers . A great place to visit for a good walk and fresh air

“NOT A GOOD HOLIDAY RESORT BEACH”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

I live in Hythe and am sorry to say that Hythe beach has very little to offer visitors to the town. The beach is shingle and has only one little café that serve average food.

“A wonderful place to walk and experience the local charm of Hythe, England”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

Hythe Beach is a daily mixture of sights and sounds. The promenade provides walkers, bikers and runners a picturesque place for activity runs almost the entire length of Hythe. The beach is quite rocky so footwear is needed but it doesn't keep the sail boarders, wind boarders and fishermen from enjoying the water. The local sailing club allows for watercraft of all sizes to add to the scenes out on the water.
