We love this place to meet up and chat. It's quiet enough to talk and although there is not the range of cakes you might have at another tea room down the street, there is always something tempting and calorific to have with a cuppa. A big bonus for me is the joy of being able to explore all the paintings and craft by local artists for sale at the venue.

Cold and windy Sunday afternoon, popped in for a cup if tea and cake. Nice teapot of Yorkshire tea - we've drunk PG Tips since forever - and a slice of Lemon & Poppy Seed cake. Bought a paperback book (£2) from the well stocked book cases, and visited the upstairs to see the paintings and wall hangings. Nice, very nice.

Visited for a tea latte and wonderful lemon and coffee cake. Then went upstairs where there are books lovely art and a mix of crafts and interesting items for sale. Worth visiting just for the gallery space.

This is a good place to have a coffee or a light meal. Lovely people, good value, and quirky surroundings. This is a very relaxing place, with a delightful hotchpotch of furniture, from church pews to leather sofas. The building is big, and there are several little shops inside, but the café area still manages to preserve an intimate, cosy atmosphere which makes it a nice place to meet friends. They're very good with children, too. You'll enjoy it.

During our stay in Kent we visited The Dolls House in Hythe and it was love at first sight.
Very nice building where the sun always shines: bright colours, friendly people, great interior, fine arts (to buy as well!) and very tasty food. We had a baguette and a minestrone soup, better than I ever could make myself. A couple of days later we came back for the fine atmosphere and we had a delicious homemade cake and coffee. We can recommend this to everyone who's ready for something else.
