My husband and I visited here yesterday as we had friends who had been here. It was busy and buzzing. I went into the shop , the fish looked very fresh and the staff, although dealing with several customers at a time, and people changing their mind and their orders were smiley, pleasant and helpful. I ordered the crayfish and prawn bisque , paella, sea bass tempura with oriental salad, crab and spring onion quiche and a crayfish and chilli samosa. The waitress who brought our food after only a 10 minute wait was delightful , the daughter of the owner- chatty and helpful . The food was delicious- the soup was in an enamel mug with a baguette, the sea bass was light crispy batter and gorgeous, with lovely sesame seed dressing and oriental vegetables, the paella had king prawn, squid, mussels chorizo , the samosa full of crayfish, and the crab quiche we brought home and ate later as we were too full to do it justice. It was scrummy. We brought our own wine, and are going back again next week with the family!! You can also pick anything from the fish counter and they will cook it for you for £3-90 extra which includes new potatoes vinaigrette. Can't wait to go back. They also do ice cream and sorbet for dessert- a wider range of puds would be wonderful . We saw others eating the mini fish and chips , the kipper in a bun and chips. It all looked well presented and inviting. A great place to eat at a reasonable price.
