Back Down to our favourite haunt for 1/2 term a year since our last visit.

Was lucky to get a table for me and friend on a chance change of service at the fully booked Buoy and Oyster on a cold and wet February night. The fact that the Buoy was packed the day after Valentines Day is testament to the amazing food, atmosphere and service at this restaurant. Although famous for fish I couldn't resist the steak on this visit and my companion, similarly carnivorous went for the burger with giant fries both absolutely perfectly presented and cooked. Amazing cocktails and Prosecco left no room for pudding although i did eye the crumbles that passed our table rather enviously.

We came specially for the music having seen the band at the venue before. Class musicians provided the back drop to our visit. Not background music but not quite cabaret. Wonderful song choice (even adding a couple of songs in spanish and french) witty and light audience interaction and warm funny banter amongst the musicians bemoaning the lack of Valentines love action. some wonderful versions of beatles songs suitably jazzed or up souled to absolute perfection. Stand out songs - Will you still love me tomorrow, Trying Times and When you were low.

The band are called THREE equals

Had light lunch, fish and really chunky chips, crispy and delicious, homemade fish pate with homemade pickles, excellent bread. Very friendly and attentive service.

We have heard a lot about this restaurant that opened about a year ago. Everybody we spoke to raved about the delicious food and excellent service there. Yesterday, finally, we went there for lunch and we weren't disappointed. The butternut squash crumble followed by sticky toffee pudding were to die for. Great atmosphere and breathtaking sea views accompany the experience. This restaurant specialises on seafood but even vegetarians don't get disappointed. :)

I recently went to this restaurant on a Saturday night as i had heard good things about it. It certainly didnt disappoint, there was a chilled out atmosphere, nice decor and surroundings and the food was excellent. The Duck Scotch Egg starter was superb and the other three diners with me all enjoyed theirs. The bill was around £100 a couple but we did had three courses, wine, cocktails and liquor coffees. Lovely meal and attentive staff. Not cheap but worth it.

Went here for a friends birthday having been a couple of times before. As always the food was unreal. I had the whitebait to start (10/10) followed by the seafood risotto (12/10) which was AMAZING!!! Nicest meal out I've had it a long time. Also had the strawberry daiquiri which was so good - they fill your glass really full so it's overflowing, so a lot better than those stingy portions you get at so many other places. Staff also really friendly, would recommend.
