We booked for an overnight stay following a local wedding. When booking Lois offered us a lift to the venue once we had dropped of our bags. She also arranged for our return cab which was a godsend! Fabulous rooms, cleanliness next to godliness!! Gorgeous setting. Wonderful breakfast and very welcoming. Top notch service all round. Definately recommend.

Stayed here last Friday, as we were attending a wedding at Elvey Barn. Arrived in a bit of a rush, but Lois and Andy soon put us at ease. Greeted the boys (red setters) in the garden and played with them briefly before getting ready for our evening.

After a quick shower, I discovered I had only one cufflink! However, panic was short lived as Lois produced a spare pair for me to wear.

As an alternative to tea & cake before our evening out, Lois prepared a chilled bottle of wine for us to enjoy and start the evening properly - it was much appreciated.

Our host's kindness didn't stop there, as Andy gave us a lift to the venue and Lois put us in touch with a local cab firm for our return trip.

I could go on about the cottage, the hosts, the home produce, good breakfast, etc - but I will let you discover the rest.

One final comment is that another couple stayed at a Holiday Inn because they thought they were on a good deal but ended up paying £24 each way (£48 total) in cab fares.

Room Tip: We had the bedroom which overlooked the Duckpond - and it had the softest bed ever - WOW

Bed and Breakfast at its ultimate best! Lois describes herself as being picky. Well she could not have picked better bacon and sausages for our most delicious breakfast or picked better luxury food for preparing our scrumptious and elegant dinner. Her charming well thought out touches - offering snacks with our drinks on the marvellous terrace in the evening, even giving us a present of flour so we could try to replicate her fantastic home made bread - were most welcome and appreciated. We stayed for three nights but could easily have stayed for three weeks so good was the setting and service. Lois and Andrew - many thanks for making our stay with you so memorable.

We booked Bow Cottage for it's proximity to a local wedding and expected just a base for the night. Imagine our delight the next morning as we sat in the garden overlooking the duck pond while Lois rustled up a tasty breakfast of salmon, scrambled eggs (freshly-laid by the ducks) and homemade bread. We were in no rush and found ourselves passing away the morning deep in delightful conversation with Lois. She and her husband Andrew make wonderful hosts, they keep their traditional Kentish cottage impeccably clean and can't do enough to assist guest. We left rested, stomachs full and with bags of tomatoes and green beans thoughtfully picked by Lois from her garden. We can't recommend staying at Bow Cottage enough. Thank you again Lois and Andrew.

We cant thank Lois and Andrew enough for their hospitality last weekend. Outr rooms were ready ahead of time so that we could change for the wedding we were attending, Andrew gave us a lift to the venue and Lois arranged our taxi back (there are apparently only 2 taxis in the village)
The house and garden is beautiful. The rooms were lovely, my parents in law given the choice of two rooms. The breakfast was delicious local produce and homemade, bread jams and fruit salad before the traditional breakfast ! Would throroughly recommend this to anyone, and we are already looking for an excuse to go back !

Visiting the famous gardens of Kent on our way back to Denmark we stayed for two nights in this wonderful B&B. Lois is a perfectionist - and it shows! Every detail was just right and nothing was too much trouble. Want some dinner? Or a packed lunch for the ferry? No problem! We felt very pampered as we were the only guests these two nights. Andrew is also the perfect host when Lois is tied up in the kitchen. The room was beautiful with very comfortable twin beds with a view of the garden in the back - not en-suite but that didn't matter when we had the place for ourselves. Next time we pass this way we will sure try to stay here again.

Room Tip: There is only one en-suite. The other 3 rooms share.

What more can I say, Lois and Andrew could not have been any more helpful and lovely than they were. They were very accommodating, being flexible with our arrival times, as we had a wedding to attend, making us feel comfortable and welcome. As for the lovely Hamilton and Micawber (two beautiful Irish Setters) they were just as happy to meet us! Bow Cottage is absolutely gorgeous, very homely, lovely outside area with a pond and ducks. The bedroom was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and tidy, but full of character with it's natural beams, and slanted ceilings. Breakfast certainly hit the spot after an evening at the wedding reception! Lois and Andrew were most attentive to everyone's needs and we were all happily full after the high standard of food we received - even included homemade bread which was yummy! I would certainly recommend a stay at Bow Cottage to family and friends, and we would definitely stay again. Thanks Lois and Andrew - and Hamilton and Micawber!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely!
