We had 4 nights camping here with friends over the Bank Holiday weekend. First impressions of the site were very good, the ladies on reception were very helpful and it was easy to find our pitch. The pitches were large and we had 4 in a row, 2 of which were separated by hedges. The pitches felt nice and private and spacious. We had paid extra for a gazebo, which with hindsight seems a bit expensive given that we had a much smaller tent than many of the people on site and our tent and gazebo didn't take up any more room than some of the other tents did on their own. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and the water hot, the showers did get a bit busy in the mornings but that was hardly surprising as it was a bank holiday. The campsite is very well located for walking into Sandwich and there is a co-op store just outside for all the essentials.
The site has a noise curfew between 11pm and 7am, which on the whole was respected by most guests, but there was a minority who seemed to think it acceptable to F and blind at the tops of their voices, which spoilt it a little but I guess the camp owners can't help that!
The site is well looked after with electrical hook up and water at most of the pitches.

What a great site. Electric hook up and tap at every pitch, which were an amazing size. Definitely on our to use again list. We had an horrendous journey there and I rang to say we would arrive late and the lady on the phone explained what to do if no-one was in the Reception office. Great service, fabulous site. Enjoyable 3 night stay.

- Electric hookup and tap at every pitch.
- Double pitches segregated by hedgerows.
- Very child friendly; cute play park and children able to cycle round at parents discretion.
- Clean shower blocks, with warm water; no queues.
- Kitchen with microwaves, fridge and freezers.
- Dog friendly, ours was even welcome in the clubhouse, but worth bearing in mind there's no field for an off lead run.
- Bingo on the Saturday night was such a laugh!
- Lots to see and do locally.

Looking forward to staying again, but for longer, next year! ☺

Just returned from a 3 night stay in a tent. Fabulous facilities with electric and water at virtually every pitch. The site is well kept and the showers and toilets very clean and there was plenty of hot water.

There seems to be quite a bit of building work going on - be interesting to see what's coming.

We will certainly return :-)

When arriving at the site it was really nicely laid out and well presented. We were staying in a wooden tent (number1). The tent itself was fine and we expected it to be, but as for the works going on opposite our pitch it was a total eye sore. They are building huge wood cabins and it is a proper building site complete with builders bums and cars parked in the area the campers are supposed to park! Behind our wooden hut was what appeared to be more building taking place as there was scaffolding and fence panels that had fallen down and laying against our wooden tent! The weather was good so we went out and about so as to not look at the renovations taking place. The builders were not there on the sat or sun thank god! I think they should tell you the situation before you book as £90 for two nights is expensive for what you get and sited opposite a load of building works.
As for the toilets, washing up area and campers kitchen, these were all in very good order and kept clean. Plenty of hot water for showers, and never queued once for toilets or showers.
I would return, but not until they can promise that the building works do not interfere with my break.
