Always glance through trip advisor restaurants after booking a break and am so glad. We passed this restaurant when Sat nav took us wrong way! Later that evening, remembering the name and as we had accidentally seen it we went there. Not the most impressive place from the outside, I must admit, but the food was wow!
As we walked through the door, the smell of freshly cooked warming spice and modern Indian music let you know we had picked the right place. The staff were welcoming and had our drinks on the table in minutes. We were surprised that there was only one other table taken.
I ordered 3 starters, king prawn puri, salmon tikka and chicken tikka, while my husband had, onion bhaji and a lamb balti bhuna and mushroom rice. The bhaji's were light and really tasty, one of the best ever, whilst my puri WAS the best I've ever had. It was amazing and I am a puri holic. I have never had so many great quality prawns and the flavour was superb, fresh as it comes. The excellent food and flavour carried on throughout the meal. It was simply wonderful.
We will definitely return to Kent and the Mint Leaf, it is a restaurant worth returning to again and again, you lucky people of Sittingbourne.
