“A delight!”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

We linked our overnight stay in this super little B and B with a trip to Chapel Down. Rod, the owner, not only met us at the gate as we arrived but helped us to our delightful room and then drove us to the vineyard. This is a small B and B with a very big heart and exceptionally high standards. The room was extremely clean with a wonderful mattress! It was great to be able to walk to restaurants during the evening. Rod was very friendly but also low-profile.
A real find in a beautiful part of Kent.

Room Tip: We did not want to share a bathroom and ours was very good.

Can thoroughly recommend this comfortable and charming establishment. Its town-centre location
is within a short distance of the many pubs and restaurants, do not let its main road location put you off, the secondary glazing and luxurious curtaining excludes the traffic noise and you could be
miles from the bustling town instead of near its centre. The excellent service even extended to posting to us the radio we had left in our room. Thank you Rod, and thank you for making our stay such an enjoyable one. The care and consideration that has gone into furnishing and organinsing this charming B & B is much appreciated.

We chose Tenterden for a 4-night stay, to look around that remoter part of Kent. The B & B is near the centre of this pleasant rural town, so easy stroll to any restaurants, which were described by our host. The front room was fine, en suite up some stairs. Interesting old house (Grade II), with fine Japanese décor; and we learnt more about Japanese taste. Excellent breakfast and sufficient hot drinks in our room. Information and tips about the places we wanted to visit helped us a lot. Indeed, besides all the local guidance, our host had time (an Autumn stay) to talk, and share his plans for the house and garden - a work in progress. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival, and we tried our best to match this. A handsome and playful white cat kept us amused, without being intrusive. For short or longer stay, this `caravanserai` is highly recommended.

Room Tip: A couple might prefer the en-suite front room, or the interesting Japanese garden cottage

Upon arrival we felt very welcome and were shown upstairs to our room. This quirky little cottage really had us feeling comfortable and at home.
We shared a bathroom, which caused absolutely no problems at all, and were quite happy to leave our things in the room.
Although we only stayed for one night, the memory foam mattresses made sure that it was the best nights sleep I have had for a long time.
Breakfast was great and cooked amazingly, the locally sourced sausages were phenomenal.
Overall, we had absolutely no problems during our stay and we really enjoyed the location, the friendliness of Rod, and the atmosphere within the building.

As soon as the wheels of our car crunched the gravel driveway the owner Rod came out to meet us.
The Japanese themed bed room room was very comfortable with woven matting on the floor and low Japanese style bed. It was good to have the extra space that the cottage gives as the living area is on the ground floor.
The weather was warm so we had the breakfast on the main patio. The breakfast had a good choice of cereals and cooked food, all locally sourced. Rod provided us with local maps and suggested walks to take. it is very convenient for the seven vineyards within 45 minutes of the house. Most offer free wine tasting. There is a good sandy beach at Camber which is 20 minutes drive.

stayed for 1 night and had a very comfortable sleep. The B&B is in an ideal position for Tenterden's town centre with their pubs and restaurants only a very short distance away (about 1 to 2 minutes walk )
The host greeted me as I arrived and made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean and looked really fresh and the memory foam bed ensured I had a very comfortable nights sleep. I had a flat screen TV and Teas maid , and was sharing a bathroom along the hall with another room. The Bathroom was extremely large and had everything I needed. The only critique I had was being placed on the same table as a couple who were half way through their own breakfasts in the morning. That said. If you want a comfortable stay and in the heart of the town, then this is for you

We stayed at Little Dane Court as our daughter's wedding reception was in Tenterden. The owner, Rod, was extremely helpful and accommodated our early arrival and late departure with no fuss. The building is old and a little quirky, but with all modern facilities. There were lots of lovely plants inside and in the garden, many of them in bloom. The breakfast was also excellent. We just wished that we had had more time to enjoy it all.
