Having re-read some of the words on the Hookstead House website after staying there, I appreciate just how accurate they are, eg. "David and Sue are committed to making your stay stress-free, enjoyable and memorable." and also the description of the lovely house and David sharing his knowledge of the area, what to see, the history etc. For us it was really a case of: enter, relax and be well looked after.
The house is very attractive, and all of the rooms we used (ie bedroom and public rooms) are very tastefully furnished and decorated, in very good condition and clean. Breakfast is good with cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and the cooked breakfast is perfectly cooked.
The only hesitation I have in recommending Hookstead House is the risk that it will be booked up when we wish to stay there again.
