This was our second choice venue. We found the entrance, reception and bar area to be basic and not what we expected of a spar/country hotel. Our initial disappointment was speedily overcome by our room and its view over the Kent countryside.
We thought the public rooms we encountered very "golf clubbish". Our review status is raised to "excellent" because dinner was exceptional and all the staff charming and helpful. We would probably stay there again, but definitely eat there again.

Room Tip: Your room should be above first floor and over looking the countryside. Do have dinner from the a la...

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel was very quiet, possibly because time of year. Booked on line through another company which was far cheaper than direct with hotel. Paid extra for balcony room which was nice and large with 2 double beds overlooking the golf course and worth the extra money. Golf at hotel very reasonably priced. We ate from bar menu and food generally was good. Full English breakfast was excellent. The downsides: charging £25 for the spa and pool, £5 pitch & putt and £2 for the putting green. We only wanted a swim but were not prepared to pay £25 each for the privilige. Did not like tone of printed letter in the hotel info. folder "We operate a corkage policy at this establishment. If evidence of food or drink purchased off these premises is found you are liable to be charged". Chapel Down Vineyard worth a visit on one of their guided tours and get to taste some of the wine.

Room Tip: Pay extra for balcony room

if you are looking for a great place to get away, and relax for a few days. whether it being with friends, family or partner this is the place to stay. The staff are really easy going down to earth and very friendly. the rooom we were given was huge and over looked the first Tee of and the rest of the golf course which was a lovely 9 hole course. our room had a very clean bathroom with a walkin shower double sink and even a small washing machine. the bedroom had a tea making facility fridge, microwave, and a huge size tv. also the room had 2 sofas and a arm chair. also a balcony over looking the golf course

the spa seemed to be a brand new part of the hotel, so it was imaculate and well set out. there was a swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, steam and sauna rooms. above that was a brand new gym and above that was a brand new therapy room which i would recomend as i had a great massage.

the food in the restaurant was of a high standard and a good variety as also was the wine menu. and because of it being a golf hotel the bar menu was very good too.

great place to visit as its 2minutes drive from Tenterden village which is a real old English type of country village.

Room Tip: ask for the odd number rooms as they over look the golf course

Stayed here with my daughter for a spa break. All the staff were superb, couldn't have been more helpful.rooms were clean, spacious and with magnificent views and balconies. Spa facilities and treatments rooms were all top quality with staff to match!!! lovely food and service. Lovely child free environment which aided the relaxation. Felt completely chilled when we left which was the whole purpose of the visit. Will definitely return again.

Stayed here at the weekend and have to say its the best place I have stayed in a long while. The rooms were nice and clean, The staff were very helpful and looked after us well. The only down point that I would have is that you have to be over 21 to use the pool so the kids couldn't have a swim which they were very disappointed at.

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed. The people were very helpfull, Hotel was in a great place with lovely views over the golf course. Great value for money. Would have been great to try the spa but weather was so good to be out and about.
