An honest review by a seasoned traveller. Where do I start? Firstly with the positives, there were none.
If you decide to stay at this rip off Hotel then be prepared to suffer the same hardship that we encountered?
I called the Hotel 2 weeks prior to our stay to ask for us to go straight to our room on arrival, around 1.30. p.m. The girl I spoke to noted my request and informed me that she would do everything she could to arrange this request. Yes, you’ve guessed the outcome, a very rude jobsworth of a receptionist told me that I could not go to our room until 3.00. p.m. Check Out time is incidentally 11.00. a. m. I posed the question with no answer forthcoming only to be told that if she let us go to our room then everybody else staying at the Hotel would want to do the same. She would give no quarter. Another much kinder lady on reception intervened explaining that we could use the lovely(?) changing room facilities to get ready to attend a Wedding. The changing rooms were inadequate, dark and with no towels to be seen? I had to acquire a moth eaten, old tatty threadbare towel to use to dry myself after showering. In the ladies changing room there was just one power point creating further problems for my partner getting ready.
Thankfully we left the Hotel to attend and enjoy the Wedding to return around 11.30. p.m. with other family members to have some drinks and a chat at the bar. Even though we were residents the bar was closed and when I questioned why I was just informed that it was closed and that drinks were out of the question.
The Hotel itself is extremely poor value for what we paid, soft drinks and Tea/Coffee are vastly overpriced. Our room cost was £113.00 just for an 8 hour sleep. Breakfast was not included. I will not stay at this poor excuse for a Hotel again, I trust that if you ponder staying there you think again, don’t be extremely disappointed like we were.
