“Lovely atmosphere, can't beat the setting”

Went on a hot summers day, had a lovely airy feel to the restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. Service was good although feel some of the waitresses were a little inappropriately dressed (see through tops revealing underwear and lacey numbers). Food was very good. Had oysters to start which were delicious. Dressed crab starter was reasonable. Had moules with cider and mustard sauce for main would recommend, very tasty. Chips good. Pricey but worth it for the setting. I would definitely return.

“FRESH”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

The service was excellent and our waitresses were all friendly and relaxed. The restaurant is homely and comfortable and the food is simple but really fresh. Without doubt the mussels in cider were the best thing we ate and I would skip pudding next time. TOP TIP: pop outside and watch the sun set, beautiful.

“Super pricey but decent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

We happened to find this place whilst searching for lunch by the sea. As it was a weekday we managed to get a downstairs table straight away. We ordered a few starters and some seafood mains along with wine which all came with a knockout price. Quite reasonable food but perhaps not as good as the prices. Not bad for a first visit but a little too dear for regular visits.

“Highly recommended”

My wife and me visited this restaurant yesterday with the intention to try oysters. Once inside and having studied the menu decided to share a starter, mussels, and then both choose the sea bass. We could not have chosen better. The quality of both was superb with freshness unquestionable. The side dishes were a perfect addition and the local produce Flint Dry wine a perfect choice. Not cheap but excellent quality in top surroundings.
