“Great Fathers Day lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Went here today for a late lunch today. Great location, interesting interior, friendly and knowledgeable staff. A good menu with what appeared to be real fresh produce. Just a little pricey, but that will probably not put me off returning...

“Nice late lunch, accomodating for baby”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014

We spent a nice afternoon in Whitstable Oyster. The food here was good, clean and simplesomething for everyone. The fish & chips was very fresh, though I did find bones in mine (and don't like the English fashion of leaving the skin on in any event). I left all the breading and skin and enjoyed the fresh flakey fish. Others at the table had oysters, mussels, crab, sole etc and everyone greatly enjoyed their meals. They didn't rush us, service was friendly and relaxed even though they were very busy and we had plenty of room to accommodate a baby and move around. The atmosphere is also simple, not fancy, but surprisingly comfortable.

“Amazing food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

We were in Whitstable for the day as part of a large-ish group. We had not booked the restaurant but were lucky to be able to get a table.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed, which suits the laid back style of Whitstable along the seafront. The food was amazing - most of us had the fish and chips, which was really nice, with proper chips and muchy peas that were made from garden peas. It really worked well!!

The selections of beer and wine were really good and although we did not have a dessert, this was only because the main courses were so nice. Absolutely nothing left on anyone's plate.

“Lovely atmosphere, can't beat the setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

Went on a hot summers day, had a lovely airy feel to the restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. Service was good although feel some of the waitresses were a little inappropriately dressed (see through tops revealing underwear and lacey numbers). Food was very good. Had oysters to start which were delicious. Dressed crab starter was reasonable. Had moules with cider and mustard sauce for main would recommend, very tasty. Chips good. Pricey but worth it for the setting. I would definitely return.

“FRESH”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

The service was excellent and our waitresses were all friendly and relaxed. The restaurant is homely and comfortable and the food is simple but really fresh. Without doubt the mussels in cider were the best thing we ate and I would skip pudding next time. TOP TIP: pop outside and watch the sun set, beautiful.
