2 days before we were due to go we got a call from Bob to say one of the two double rooms we had booked some time before had been double booked and would we accept a twin room with the beds pushed together. We said ok but on arrival was shocked as to how much dust there was also pubic hair and other hair all over the bathroom floor.

We had a bad night sleep ad at no point did he say the room would suffer from traffic noise it went on most of the I night as it was a warm night we had the window open. Next morning we went for breakfast Bob's partner was very abrupt he said Tea coffee in a loud abrupt manner and made us feel like naughty children. We felt quite uncomfortable and weren't offered baked beans with our full English as other people were. On the whole not worth the money very disappointing would not recommend to others.

We stayed here because it was the only place left with availability in mid August and I share the surname with the B&B (they seemed a little sensitive when this topic was raised though, as if I might try to claim the B&B as my legacy and make them leave immediately). The man who received us was quite kind and friendly, storing our wine in his fridge and providing map of the area. The room was fine, with lots of lovely cat ornaments.

Breakfast was quite stressful though. A different man gave it to us and he was slightly intimidating and over bearing. I felt like I should be quiet, eat quickly and go - so I did.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, and good value for money (but you don't get extra money off if you share the same surname as the house so don't ask).

Nice big room, with seating, teas, coffees and biscuits in the room, and clean and tidy throughout. The owners make you feel welcome and are unobtrusive. We had considered taking our bikes with us and they also offered to store them for us to keep them safe. Breakfast is a hearty portion of sausages, bacon, eggs, etc. or cereals if you prefer (we took the hearty option!) - brown toast is a lovely nutty, seeded loaf BTW. Breakfast is served in the conservatory which overlooks their lovely garden and vegetable patch. Whitstable is very short on free parking so to find a B&B that offers free parking was also a bonus. The trade-off is it's a ten minute walk to the centre but not a big deal if you walk easily like we do. This was by far the cheapest B&B that we were quoted for in Whitstable at £75 / night so all-in it was a very good deal. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room faced the road and as it was a hot evening the windows had to be open which allowed traffic...

My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Bob and Chris offered useful advice as well as a pen and fruit to take on my hike.

The cost is very reasonable for the level of service provided.

The location was particularly good for visiting my mother and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Tripadvisor reviews have to be 200 characters but I am concise by nature, this sentence is just to fill out that requirement!

Hosts were welcoming, room was lovely, breakfast good and plentiful, price very reasonable, parking right by the door, easy walk to town centre - ticked every box for us, and we will return soon.

This B&B was lovely, warm and the hosts were very hospitable and friendly. The beds were really comfortable and we had a wonderful peaceful night's sleep. The room and en suite were spotlessly clean. The location suited our needs for our stay, but is in a very convenient location for all you need on your visit. The breakfast was lovely - nothing was too much trouble and you will be offered all you can eat in the lovely conservatory. We would definately stay there again and would not hesitate in recommending this venue.

For what this is... a B & B at a great rate it is hard to fault. The owners were friendly, recommended places for my evening meal, the room was clean and now the important bit... Breakfast, held in the conservatory which was a nice location was excellent. Great portion of food and happy friendly service. I would definately stay here again when in Whitstable.

Room Tip: Just ask, these guys will be happy to show you their rooms, they are proud of their business. They w...
