“Very Welcoming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013

We have just come back from staying at Copeland House, a lovely Georgian house, set very close to the shingle beach (and public car park) the fabulous Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company (based at the old Royal Native Oyster Stores)where we had a lovely meal. We had Room 6 which is not in the attic but on the 1st floor & has dual aspect sea views. A huge room, clean & tidy. My only issue was on the king size bed was a double duvet which did not cover the bed properly but that issue was sorted by an added quilt. The staff were lovely & did a great selection of breakfast plus fresh fruit salad & yoghurt & cereal & plenty of hot toast. BIG ISSUE is lack of parking as car park next door is only short stay so you have to keep feeding the meter or try & find a space elsewhere which is not easy as it's mainly residential parking.I feel this should have been mentioned on their website as obviously this bumps up your bill as you have to pay from 8am-8pm. It would be good if they could negotiate parking spaces & parking pass with the council. All that said, we would use Copeland House again.

We stayed in this lovely guesthouse a couple of weeks ago and were very well looked after. The guesthouse is really well situated on Island Wall near to the best eating places ( The Pearson's Arms was particularly good) and it was easy to come and go. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of well and freshly prepared dishes and our hostess could not have been more helpful. Only negative point was that we were in the attic room, which, had I realised what was in store, we would have avoided. Stairs to the room were very narrow and steep and when upstairs there were few areas in the room where we could stand upright without hitting our heads (we are 5' 11" and 5' 7" tall). There was a nice sea view and a good en suite but I will avoid attic rooms in future!

What a lovely weekend we had at Georgina's B & B. Clean, Quirky and friendly. All staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Fantastic location, literally 1 minute from the beach. Although it is a shingle beach, still lovely to sit and enjoy the views.
Breakfast was yummy and beautifully presented, we especially liked the 'extra guest at our table', although he didn't talk much! :-)
A very enjoyable stay in a very comfortable home from home B & B.

Room Tip: room 6 is in the attic. Although it is quirky and has sea view, the stairs up to it are very steep a...

My husband and I have just returned from a sunny weekend in Whitstable, made all the better by our stay at Copeland House. Georgina the owner and her staff were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. We missed out on a room with a sea view, which was a shame as you can literally roll out of the house onto the beach! So am sure the views are impressive, but the room was comfortable with a separate en suite (room 4). The house is also just off the high street on a quiet road but very close to Whitstable's cute shops.
A great location - enjoy!

Lovely quaint B&B, perfectly situated on the seafront near the harbour. Great breakfast, fresh fruit every day and friendly staff.
Nice pubs either side on the seafront and only 2 minutes walk from the chintzy Whitstable high street.
Car park is pay and display to rear of building £4/£5 a night.

We liked everything about Copeland House, from Georgina's cheerful welcome to the cosy sea-view room. The breakfast was delicious - full English with yoghurt and fresh fruit too. We went for the room 6 with a sea view and it was perfect - big bed and sofa. Comfy, cosy, come here if you're going to whitstable!

Room Tip: Room 6 had great sea view
