“All the comforts of home in a lovely fishing town”
Reviewed 18 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The cottage is tastefully furnished and well equipped. We had a lovely stay and found Whitstable to have good restaurants and pubs. The shops are excellent and individual. We certainly will go back as the town has so much to offer. There is nothing better after a long beach walk and good food, than to return to a warm, cosy cottage with all the facilities to rest and relax in comfort. Breakfast in the garden to the sound of sea gulls. Parking can be a problem especially at the weekend but you don't need to use the car at all.

“Great location, compact but cheerful and airy cottage”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had a lovely week in Harbourside Cottage. It was clean and well decorated, and we didn't have any issues parking on the street outside. The bathroom is very nice, but I do think that the cottage description should make it clearer that it's located downstairs. My other issue would be with the lack of storage space. The 'built in wardrobes' are really a door across n alcove, so are very shallow and don't take many clothes at all - plus they already contain a Christmas tree in the main bedroom and a vacuum in the second bedroom.
There was no other storage in the main bedroom (except for tiny bedside tables), so we ended up living out of the suitcase. The furniture in there is lovely but would be more practically replaced with a couple of functional chests of drawers. There's no wardrobe at all in the third bedroom although it does have a small chest of drawers.
But aside from this inconvenience the cottage is lovely, and the location just fab, with all the beach and restaurants and quirky shops of Whitstable just at the end of the road. I hope it's not long before we return - I'm missing the amazing sunsets already.

“Lovely Accommodation”
Reviewed 11 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I stayed with two girlfriends for a weekend break. Peter was a great host, keeping in contact with us right from the start. I left my Ipod accidentally and it was posted back within two days. The cottage is lovely and modern, with great local pictures and paintings and there is everything you could need for a self-catering stay. The beds were comfortable and the street is quiet, whilst still being within close walking distance of the centre. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

“A real find!”
Reviewed 4 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Harbourside Cottage is a real home from home. It was a second visit and I think it will be an annual trip for our family. The cottage was once again spotless with extra touches like dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid meaning you don't need to take with you. It was a very cold week for us but the cottage was warm and cosy ,it was always a pleasure to get home. Parking is often a bit of an issue but always managed to park close. Whitstable as ever a joy and Harbourside Cottage ideally situated for Harbour Street and my favourite shoe sho! Rest assured we'll be back.

“Beautiful little cottage in good location”

We had a lovely short break in this very cosy cottage which was well situated just off the high street. It's very well furnished and equipped and was very comfortable for the three of us to stay in, but I'd say the maximum of five would be pushing it a little. We particularly enjoyed the open wood fire, though the lack of fire equipment is something to improve on. Overall it is a lovely little house in a lovely little town and we highly recommend it.
