“Good pub on the beach”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

I really like this pub. The location is excellent and there are plenty of tables outside on the beach to sit on. The food is really tasty and they do a good pint of Guinness. I don't really like the lager selection in there (but this is quite typical of pubs in Whitstable) and the toilets could do with a refurb but all in all it's a good pub that I often go back to.

“Great spot for a pint”
Reviewed 19 February 2014 via mobile

A great location on the beach. They only had one bitter on which was a bit disappointing for a pub. It was a good pint though, Harvey's best. They also usually have Bishop's finger which is normally really nice. We didn't eat. Definitely worth a visit for an hour or so.

“Great pub”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Trip to Whitstable must include a visit to The Old Neptune Pub on the beach, and I must say we weren't disappointed. Lovely old pub, warm welcome and an even warmer log burner roaring away. We had a lovely meal and sampled a selection on local ales and then to top it off a brilliant live band. Well worth making the effort on a cold November day.

“Lovely little pub for a nice drink”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

We came here as a large family to meet up and have a drink on a Friday night. The landlord was more than accommodation and helped us find a bigger table when the band turned up. Great local brewery ales available. The wine was a bit questionable. Some of the ladies behind the bar were more interested in chatting to the regulars than serving drinks so wait time was a bit longer than normal.

“Rough and great if you like pit bulls”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Not a nice pub. It was rough and had a sneery cliquey atmosphere. Great if you have several of those staffy pitt bull type dogs, Otherwise avoid this place.
