Had a lovely stay in Hut 1, wonderful large and comfy bed, very clean and modern. Breakfast at the hotel Continental was very good as well, unfortunately it was a very cold weekend for April but the room was lovely cosy and warm, a lovely weekend.

Normally stay at the hotel when down but they could only do 1 night but wanted 2 . They suggested staying in the huts ,so we thought we'd give it a try . Well we weren't disappointed ,hut 5 was comfortable ,cosy and clean .Downstairs there was a sofa ,table ,flat screen tv and cooking facilities and a fridge which had juice and fresh milk ,a nice touch, Upstairs our bedroom also had a flat screen tv and looked out to a fantastic view to sea . Bathroom just off the bedroom . Walked along the seafront and harbour to breakfast at the hotel each morning . Food good and plenty to choose from . We will be back as thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

glad you had a great stay and are thinking of returning soon. If you are bringing kids why not try hut 14 as it is slightly larger with a child friendly balcony.

After calling up to book one night in the fisherman's hut I was very pleased with the telephone service I received from the manager Jamie. When we arrived the receptionist was very friendly and gave us clear detailed directions how to get to the huts. When we arrived at the hut my opinionated fiancé was gobsmacked, we both fell in love with the quaint chic style of the hut it was perfect. We came away for a romantic night with no children and that is just what we got. It was lovely waking up to the beautiful view out the window overlooking the sea with the window wide open. We then took the short walk to the hotel for breakfast and were equally impressed with the service and quality of food, plenty of choice all delivered at a very high standard. We will be coming back here in the summer for a longer stay with the children too.

Stayed here with friends as a belated Christmas present. We had hut 9 our friends hut 8. Hut 9 was very smart being recently refurbished with a large flat screen tv downstairs two sofas and a small shower room. Upstairs was a large double bed, smaller tv, tea making facilities, microwave and a fridge containing milk water and juice. Just a few meters away was a hut selling sea food and drinks (beer and wine) Great atmosphere to just sit and watch the world go by. Even managed to fish from the beach for a couple of hours although we were only there for two nights. Would love to go again.

Room Tip: All huts are located in a line just off the beach, take your pick.

Hut 9 was only finished from refubishment work at easter. Hut 8 is very similar in layout and has also only just been refurbished too. You can always specify the hut you want when you book.
thanks

We stayed for one night in hut no.4 and absolutely loved it. We arrived a little early and hotel reception had trouble locating the key but they sat us down in the bar and offered us a couple of free drinks while one of the staff ran down to the huts to get a spare key - brilliant customer service.

The hut itself was clean and warm - particularly good when it's windy and hovering around zero outside! Our bed was comfortable and the window had a shutter which blocked out most of the noise from outside but to be honest it seems even more cosy listening to the sound of the wind in the yacht masts outside. My only advice on the huts is the ceilings aren't very high (particularly downstairs and the upstairs have beams across them) so be careful if you're like me and over 6ft! Also we found our fridge made some noises from time to time so we unplugged it overnight. There was a small bottle of milk and some juices in the fridge which was a nice touch, most places would just give you the plastic packs of UHT milk with your kettle and tea bits.

We had our evening meal in the equally wonderful Wheelers Oyster bar which is barely two minutes walk from the huts.

Breakfast the next day was at the hotel and was pretty good, only thing I would have liked was some hash browns/waffles/potatoes with the fried breakfast but they had toast on offer as well so I had that. Cereals, yoghurts and fresh and tinned fruit also available.

We would definately come back and at only £75 a night if you go on a weekday or Sunday night it's very good value. You'd pay that for a night in a travel in or similar with breakfast, but you'd get nowhere near the ambience and relaxation offered in one of these huts.

Room Tip: Only some of the huts have a sea view. Be careful of low ceilings if you're tall!

My husband and I stayed for one night in Fisherman's Hut no. 14 and wished we had booked for longer!

The hut is laid out over three floors with a compact living area on the ground floor complete with sofa, fridge, kettle and microwave. The second and third floors contain two cosy, double bedrooms and a well presented shower room. The hut is right behind the sea wall so there are wonderful sea views from both bedrooms. The design is clean and modern and the hut had everything that you could need for a short stay.

The hut was close to the centre of Whitstable so it was easy to find great restaurants and pubs. Oh and the shops are gorgeous too!

We have just returned from a one night stay in Hut 7. The hut was lovely. It had clearly been recently updated and was very well appointed, though the cushions and bedspread were a little grubby. These though are very minor things and in no way impacted on our stay. Hut 7 has a nice shower room with double shower and one bedroom upstairs. The room is a good size and we were able to squeeze in a travel cot for our 10 month old baby (which the hotel supplied) and the double bed was very comfy for a hotel bed.

Downstairs there was a small dining table and chairs, a two seater sofa bed, microwave, two ring hob and kettle - Perfect when travelling with a little on (though the only thing to bear in mind is that the stairs are steep and narrow). This hut doesn't have a sea view as it is slightly to the side but this was a small price to pay in our view and the sea is after all right outside.

There is parking right outside the hut and the reception staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but we opted to eat at one of the cafe's on the High Street (Elliot's, which we would also recommend). Incidentally we ate lunch at the Pearson's Arms which do a great value set lunch menu for £20 for 3 courses, including lovely roast beef on a Sunday.

We were also very grateful for the hotel for being so accommodating - we were originally booked in to stay 2 weeks ago but had to cancel at the last minute when our daughter fell ill. Despite the terms clearly stating no refunds, no transfers, they let us reschedule our stay at no extra cost. Thanks very much guys, greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for a cosy and unique place to stay for a night or two in central Whitstable, we couldn't recommend this accommodation highly enough. Do it.

Room Tip: All of the huts have different lay outs so do call or check the website to find one that fits your n...
