Had a one night stay in hut 1 for an anniversary treat. So lovely. The hut is well equipped and situated right on the beach front. The parking space provided means you can literally just unload yards from the accommodation. Clean and bright the hut provided a lovely view of the sea and a conveniently positioned cafe selling seafood, coffee and ice cream.Wasn't unduly noisy given its central location. Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and yummy and staff very friendly and helpful.I LOVED this place, but given that I harbour dreams of one day living in Whitstable it came highly recommended! Only thing that we missed was a DVD player but to be honest its in such a great location it seems a travesty to spend any time watching TV. Will defo return.

Stayed here for an anniversary night away & it couldn't have been more perfect. Whitstable is one of my favourite places in the UK. We had Hut 1 which was lovely. The front door is tiny and there are steep steps up to the room which has a great view of the beach & sea. Couldn't fault the hut. Modern and clean. Breakfast is at Hotel Continental and it was lovely. The walk back along the beach in the morning is a lovely way to wake up. Booked again and pretty sure it won't be last time.

We stayed in hut number 10. It is a little bit away from the rest of the huts. It has two great double bed rooms both over looking the sea. The beds are super comfortable, the huts are immaculately clean, the decor tasteful and white fluffy towels arrive daily. Waking up to the sound of the sea each morning and walking along the beach to breakfast is a wonderful experience. The breakfasts at the hotel is a real taste of England. Full English breakfast, I could not eat it every day but once in a while it is a real treat. There are other things available but when this is in front of you it is hard to resist. The staff in the hotel could not be more helpful. The only challenge for us was the parking. There is parking available for the huts but the Chelsea tractors / range rovers tended to block off two spaces and on a busy bank holiday weekend getting your allocated space and getting in and out of the parking is a bit stressful. All in all we had a super wonderful time. The English sea side is the best and we will be back for sure. Thank you

Room Tip: I think huts 10 and 14 are probably the best

I was surprised how much I loved my stay at the huts. Whitstable is charming and they are located right on the front. You park up and forget your car as you walk to the pubs and restaurants literally yards from the huts.
They are really well furnished and despite Small shower it was fab.
The dogs loved it, my 6 year old loved it and it was smiles all round.
I will definitely be coming back.
The breakfast in the hotel was superb and despite other negative reviews about customer service it was great when we stayed.
There was nothing I would have changed. I would recommend highly and did not want to leave.

Room Tip: If taking your dog or small children huts 8 and 9 are great with proper stairs

Grabbed a night away from the day to day busy nonsense just to spend some time together. We'd seen the Fisherman's Huts on an earlier visit to Whitstable and were struck by their quant charm and what appeared to be modern upgrade.
We managed to book hut 14, which is a little away from the other huts but still ideally located for the beach and town. All in all the hut itself was well decorated and the finish is to a high standard - surprising how much you can get into such a tiny space.
The balcony provided a great view across the beach and we saw the sunset on a clear night. Breakfast is provided at the Hotel Continental which is about a 10 minute walk away but as the weather was good this was not a problem. The breakfast itself was pretty good and I agree with others that the warm welcome was evident.Only slight downsides to it all was a slight lack of customer service focus upon check-in and the need to take a credit card authorisation in case of damages. I am aware this is probably normal but when you get your keys and make your way to the hut there is nobody to meet you and go through any inventory so that all concerned knows what's there etc? I thought I might be charged for missing glasses, torn duvet cover, etc.We did have some issues with the keys themselves which seemed to have been recently re-cut as they were not too easy to lock and unlock. In all, minor matters and it was a really nice night away.

Room Tip: Hut 14 has its own parking space close to the other huts and slightly away from the hut itself so th...

hi
thanks for trying hut 14. I will look at the pre-authorisaton on check-in, the only reason for it is obviously to prevent damage and anti-social behaviour but i agree it can be a bit of a pain. Other than that glad you had a nice stay and hope to see you again soon

I've just had a stopover here (in the main hotel) on a business trip. Pleasantly surprised, as it's obvious from the frontage that the refurb is still underway. But don't let that put you off. A warm welcome in reception and the room I had has been tastefully redecorated with a huge bed. Expansive views over the sea - if it's geographically correct to call the Thames Estuary the sea ;-)A good buffet breakfast the next day. Made better by the inclusion of black pudding. I hope to be able to come back and spend a more leisurely time here as the menu for meals sounds interesting and Whitstable is a pretty town/village to wander around.

Room Tip: Mine was Room 10 - a little cool for being on the corner of the building but the balcony and view ar...

hi
Yes i think the estuary can be called the sea so you are correct. We have got a separate page for the hotel but never mind looks like you still had a nice stay. We are still refurbishing the hotel and will be till spring next year but there will still be areas unaffected just ask at reception.
thanks
