We stayed at the Fishermans Hut for 2 nights in July.
For our family of 4 it was simply fantastic, the kids slept downstairs and they had their own toilet. Our accommodation upstairs was spacious and modern. The views were superb. The weather wasn't great but it did not spoil our stay. The breakfasts at the nearby hotel were lovely. Whitstable itself has a great range of shops which is good if the beach is not an option. Highly recommended.

hi
Hut 2 and 3 are best for kids as they have their own bathroom. We shall try and do something about the weather the next time you come!
Thanks james

13th august 2014 our anniversary , we stayed just for two nights , I can only say what a lovely pretty place , we were very happy with the hut 14 and the sea and sunset view was amazing , the cleaning staff are lovely and must say do a brilliant job , the hut it's self is clean fresh and perfect for 2/4 people , I would defiantly recommend the stay , the only problem I had which wasn't a big deal but no wardrobes but we just put it in the chest draws for the two days . Also parking for but 14 is a little bit away from hut and we found it a little hard to find but we can b thick sometimes .The walk to the hotel was lovely and breakfast is well worth having very enjoyable and no rushing you . Also I would highly recommend the Indian restaurant it's the first one u come to from the huts in the high street food is lovely . Thank you for a lovely stay .

Room Tip: Hut 14 best sea view . Lovely quite place .

hi
Thanks for coming and enjoying tour stay in Hut 14. There is a bit of a walk to Hut 14 but it is the quietest hut by far as compensation.
Hope to see you again soon

My wife arranged a two night stay for our whole family including five young grandchildren to celebrate my birthday. We had four adjacent huts which was really convenient. By coincidence my birthday coincided with the start of the oyster festival which was a new experience for all of us.

The huts are small but nevertheless comfortable and well furnished including TVs. They were very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is fantastic, just a few yards from the promenade. Parking, which is like gold dust, is available although it takes a bit of care to get all the cars in. Breakfast is provided at the Continental Hotel, about an 8 minute walk away.

The oyster festival was a revelation and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Certainly there were huge queues for food in the early afternoon but by luck we had all eaten before the big rush. The oyster stalls were very busy from 1pm onwards. The entertainment, which included a street parade, added to the overall excellent atmosphere.

It was made clear at the outset that the keys were to be collected from and delivered back to the hotel, so I don't share the criticism just made by a fellow reviewer. It wasn't difficult to drive to the hotel and drop them off.

As a novel location this takes some beating and I remain grateful to my wife for arranging it.

Happy birthday-belatedly
Great you had a good time over the festival and that you had the sense to fill up before the main bulk of the people arrive. The huts are a great place to be if you want to be in the centre of it all.
thanks james

We stayed in one of the huts over the oyster festival, the location is great, the hut was nice and clean. We have come to whitstable for the oyster festival for many years, but feel like it has changed some what. Queues everywhere, oyster sold out both days and just quiet rowdy! Can't complain about the huts apart from felt slightly annoyed that the reception/cleaners were not more flexible. When we arrived we parked the car and spoke to cleaners and knew hut was ready, so walked up to the hotel to be told I couldn't have the key until 3pm, it was 2.52. Then on departure I asked if I could leave the key with the cleaners, as I was on my own with 3 young kids and all the beach stuff, they told me they weren't allowed, so had to struggle to the hotel, kids, beach stuff and streets packed with people.

hi
The oyster festival was the busiest I have seen it this year and seems to get ever more popular. Please do not book any accommodation in this period if you want a quiet stay as everywhere is heaving! Unfortunately the check in time at peak periods such as the oyster festival has to be adhered to for the cleaners sanity!!!
cheers james

Had a very enjoyable mini break staying in the Anderson Shed with my elderly Mother. Easy parking along side the hut and 2 comfortable bedrooms, a walk-in shower room and a second loo made for privacy and comfort.

There is a kitchen and sitting room on the 1st floor with great views of the beach. Great spec. We walked to the Hotel Continental for breakfast which took 10 minutes. Will definitely come again.

Room Tip: We did not have a balcony but some of the huts have this option.

Hi
The Anderson's shed is our biggest unit that has two double bedrooms downstairs and a living area with a sofa bed upstairs, but alas no balcony. Hut 14 and 10 have small balconies.
Thanks for coming james
