We visited this pub in the afternoon and found a roaring fire and comfy sofa's. It is a lovely old building and quite interesting inside. Perfect G&T and draught Asahi. We returned later that night after dinner at the nearby Wheeler's - it was very lively and there was a live band on called Natural Selection who were excellent - had a really good night.

Didn't get to eat there but the pub had a great atmosphere and was obviously popular with all ages. Good choice of seating, a good size and had live music on the Friday we went.

This could be a cracking pub but unfortunatly let down with the shabbyness of the interior decoration.
The bar and surround areas look dirty and in need of damm good clean.
I certainly wouldnt eat here as id be wondering what state the kitchen would be in.
The pub is not utilising this old building features. I noticed a lovely old fashioned fire place which was blocked over with half finished stage and scaffolding. The lager selection was also very limited and we only stopped for one drink.
Its a shame how this pub has been left to deteriorate.

Stood waiting at the bar for ten odd minutes, girl literally painting her nails in the back room. It's trendily decorated, with old radios and so on, but somehow you get the sense that they haven't quite achieved what they've set out to. Neither original boozer (which it used to be) nor trendy Hackney style bar, you're betwixt and between here. On our visit the disabled loo/ babychange was full of junk and two bicycles, the loos were filthy, the desperately try-hard self consciously cool soul music was far too loud and a very unpleasant old man with long hair was being exceptionally rude to people who were asking normal questions about their food. He turned out to be the manager! Avoid, unless you're a trendy masochist who likes looking at broken turntables whilst not being able to hear what your friends are saying.

Went in for a drink one evening and what a dissapointment the place is showing signs of age and neglect. This may have been the place 20 years ago but now No avoid it there are plenty of other good places to go to.
