5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2013

Wonderful service from booking to checking out. The place is extremely clean and comfortable, accommodation is tight, but there is everything one needs and the fact that they leave all their cell phone numbers is just an indication of their excellent customer care. One niggle is that I could not get any wi fi reception in top room.

Breakfast fantastic. Great value for money.

We took our small toy dog to his favourite place Whitstable and enjoyed the cosy rooms on a cheap weekday family break.
It was very clean and tea and coffee were there in abundance.
It had a retro 90s vibe and was well heated and with hot water flowing free:)
Our small hairless dog sat and watched the modern tv and admired the cleanliness of the room.It was near enough to the high st where he could say hello to his doggie friends and close enough to our family friends near the station as well as dog friendly pubs, the harbour and the beach.

The Oyster Guest House is situated about 10 minutes walk from the main street in Whitstable. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The bathroom however in Room 2 is very narrow, it is almost impossible to use the toilet avoid unless you are small, other rooms have more space. The breakfast was excellent.

We spent 2 nights in the Oyster Guest House. It's fairly conveniently located, about 10 minutes from the centre of town. Our room was clean enough and the bed comfortable. Paula, who looks after the place, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. We didn't have breakfast, but at £50 a night it represented good value for money. My main criticism would be the shower, as we seemed to run out of hot water on both mornings. We were also disturbed by other guests arriving back late at night. Nonetheless, I would stay here again if visiting Whitstable (which is, quite frankly, unlikely).

When we turned up at the oyster guest house we were a bit skeptical from the look of the outside, but once in our ideal room we were surprised what value for money it was. The normal "what you pay is what you get" did not apply for this b&b. Very happy !

I was looking for a B&B or guest house in Whitstable and was phoning around at the last minuet when I found the Oyster Guest House.

I phoned the Oyster Guest House and they were fully booked but I left my details and when they had a cancelation I was able to be book for the weekend I wanted & they gave me good directions.

The Oyster Guest House is very easy to find, it is based on the main road into Whitstable and is not a purposed built it is a converted house which means it doesn't not have off street parking. This didn't bother us as there is lots of on street parking which is free of charge. It's a 15-20min (depending how fast you walk) into town and you pass a Co-Op on the way (for any last min toothpaste/nappies/papers you may need).

We had a double room on the 2nd floor, the beds, sheets, towels and general appearance was very clean. We had a tiny en-suite bathroom but it did the job for us while we were there. The floor boards are a little noisy but that is expected in an old house. I might mention that the walls are on the thin side as we heard the upstairs guests/couple having some nocturnal fun but to be honest that's what cheeky weekends by the sea are all about!!

The owner was very knowledgeable and gave us some great recommendations for bike hire, dinner and things to sea. The bikes were a triumph as we cycled from Whitstable to Minnis Bay.

The breakfast here was a full English and was very yummy! If you miss breakfast head to the Tudor Tea Rooms the breakfast here is excellent!!
