“Cozy cabin within a short walk to the harbour and centre of Whitstable”
Reviewed 27 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Great hospitality and a wonderful location.

The Cot was hard to find, but the hosts guided us in. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and well equipped.

The short walk to the centre of Whitstable meant that eating out was the order of the day. Whitstable has plenty of restaurants with fresh seafood a must.

Highly recommended.

“Vital contact was missing”
Reviewed 5 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

After the initial contact and automated messages had no replies to my enquiries to Frank even up to the day of departure. We were uncertain that the holiday could even go ahead but decided to take the train and find out what was happening. Only then did Jo text me to say Frank was abroad and contact was difficult. What we should have had was alternative mobile numbers/emails in place. Put a damp start on what was a lovely stay in Whitstable. Fisherman's Cot is very nicely equipped (loved the shower!) and a nice place to relax in large grounds. Main town is about 20-25 minutes walk away but nearest shop an easy 10 minute walk. Shame that the fox got the chickens so no eggs. Wifi did not work.

“Lovely and had everything we needed”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and our 2 young children. The accommodation has everything you need and Frank and his wife are very friendly and helpful.
Would recommend and we'll be booking again for another visit.
Thank you!

“Perfect little getaway”

We booked Fisherman's Cot as a last minute minimoon getaway just after a really busy wedding ordeal, and it was the perfect antidote to all the craziness. Set in a peaceful woodland area not far from the harbour, Fisherman's Cot is a self contained studio with everything you could need (including Whitstable Bay in the fridge!). It's a very good size for two people, with much more space than a hotel room. The nautical decor found around the hut is a really lovely touch, reminding you of where you are.

Frank is a super, lovely, helpful host who took the time to pick us up from the station and give us a quick tour around - pointing out places that we needed to visit. We had the best seafood of our lives in Lobster Shack!

Whitstable is just stunning. The weather was amazing and we hired bikes, cycled to Herne Bay and had a wonderful BBQ on the beach one evening.

I'd highly recommend Whitstable, and highly recommend staying in Fisherman's Cot.

“Great accomodation”
Reviewed 14 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Frank was really welcoming and gave us a tour on arrival. The property was very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. We also had access to a barbecue which was great.

“A real hidden gem”
Reviewed 7 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This was our second stay at The Fishermans Cot and it was just as lovely as two years ago.
Jo and Frank are perfect hosts. The Cot is perfect for a family of four. The fridge even had a stock of basics including tea, coffee, milk, wine and Whitstable Bay beer. A lovely touch.
Whitstable itself is a brilliant place with amaxing seafood and plenty of cute deli's and independant
shops.
The Sportsman pub in Seasalter is worth a visit too along with The Oyster Peal.
Can't wait to stay again soon.

“I will return .....”
Reviewed 28 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I stayed in the Cot with my dog, it was such a lovely restful place we will return as soon as we can. The little touches of comfort and care from the owners really made the Cot a joy to be in. Whitsable offers something for everyone, walking, sea, beaches, views, unique shops and cafes. The only down side was I had to leave!
