“Comfortable New Year stay.”
Reviewed 2 January 2013

stayed here for three nights over New Year to be close to friends in Whitstable. I had a spacious, comfortable and very clean room. Staff were pleasant and helpful with any inquiries I made. Saw a special offer on line and managed to book for £29 a night. Very good value.

Room Tip: I took the advice of other Trip Adviser reviews and asked for a quiet room overlooking the car park...

We had to spend a night at a hotel during our recent move to Whitstable and for convenience, chose the Premier Inn. Very glad we did. We had a family room (two adults and two kids - 6 and 11) and paid £60 (would have been £63 had we needed flexibility but we didn't) and were very pleased with the value. Good, clean room wiht everything we needed. Reception staff were good and the on site Beefeater provided a quality meal. All in all, well worth it and would recommend. It's a little way out of town (5 mins by car or frequent bus service) but otherwise well located.

Stopped here as a base to visit family over the Christmas weekend. As alway the promised good nights sleep and a good breakfast. The shower/shampoo is imperial leather which can be a bit harsh if you have sensitive skin. Good sized car park and very easy to find. What more can you say the usual good stay from Premier.

I booked online to meet up with an old friend who was staying there - he had booked well in advance and paid £29 per night - my booking was last minute costing £69 - a considerable and possibly questionable difference. Having said that, my room was comfortable and pleasant - large with good facilities. Couldn't complain.

The staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to really care about my needs. Although I didn't require any extra facilities, I had a strong feeling that they would have gone to some effort to provide what I wanted.

Downside: breakfast was not included in the price - I paid over £5 for a continental breakfast which turned out to be little more than coffee, cereal and toast - £2 more would have secured me a full fry-up! But the coffee was unlimited - a necessity for lots of people these days!

Overall, Premier Inns offer very good quality at a very reasonable price if you book well in advance - last minute bookings, as mine was, are not so good. Nevertheless, I would be happy to stay with them again if I could give good notice.

Room Tip: It is possible to book rooms well away from the centre of functions in the hotel. Although it was no...

A nice well kept Premier inn, with plenty of car parking. Our room on the ground floor facing the car park was quiet apart from the occasional person chatting in the hallway outside and the occupant upstairs who seemed to have lead slippers on and liked pacing up and down. That's hardly the hotels fault though! The second night was better as I think the room above was vacant. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant next door gets booked up quickly. A good place to stay and would do so again.

Room Tip: perhaps ask for an upstairs room and overlooking the car park for a quieter visit.

We got a weekend package of £129 for 3 nights, and chose this because it was close to Canterbury (about 6 miles and a bus stop over the road) and Chatham (for the Royal Dockyards experience, but note it's closed December to March)

Great value. And as usual with Premier Inn a nice quite spacious room, great breakfast, and very accessible.

Room Tip: The hotel is on 2 floors and there is no lift. The room furthest away from reception (where we were...

We were each met with a warm friendly welcome even though our entire party of 20 arrived en masse and filled up the reception area. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. We were on the ground floor and had a noise free, good nights sleep. There was a choice of pillows firm or soft to suit every one.
The food in the adjoining restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend it and we would stay there again.

Room Tip: We were downstairs and it was noise free.
