Description: The Burger Brothers, Whitstable is resident in a separate 22 seated dining area at the rear of The Coach & Horses pub. Here, our food does the talking. Burgers made with the very best Kent beef. Fries hand cut and fried twice. All toppings and condiments are scratch made on the premises. It's a neighbourhood restaurant which is family friendly (within a locals pub). Thursday's we do Rib night and Sunday we do an American Roast with all the trimmings. Take-Away service available. Parties of four or more should book. Sometimes diners may be asked to be seated in the pub if the restaurant area is full.

“Best burgers!!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

Gorgeous food. Arguably a little overpriced but I understand they've updated their menu now to give customers better value so that's good (it shows they are listening to the feedback). As its set in a pub the atmosphere can be a bit hit and miss (either very quiet or some rowdy drunks) but its fantastic to finally have somewhere in Whitstable you can get a great burger!!

“Amazing homemade burgers and pulled pork”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Myself and my partner have been to burger brothers 3 times now and each time has been better than the last. The service is second to none and is always with a smile and great conversation.

The burgers are simply awesome and come with beautiful fresh chips that would put any chip shop to shame. My partner had the pulled pork (which is one of her favourites) and simply declared - "one of the best I ever had" - which says it all!

The specials are always worth looking at and the home made nacho starter is one of the best things on the menu!

Quite simply - you have to go here!

“Fantastic Burgers”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We went to Burger Bros and were very surprised by how good everything was. We had a burger each and some shared fries. Forgot to try the shakes as you walk through a pub to get to the restaurant so got a pint instead. The pub itself is not great, but the food in here is great. It was clear to us that someone in the kitchen really cared about what they were doing. Lovely burgers in brioche buns and really nice sides of home cooked chips and homemade coleslaw. The waitress was very friendly too. Highly recommended.

“Very expensive !”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

After reading so much about the burger brothers, we went for lunch in their Whistable spot.
Walked out of it £110 lighter and not satisfied at all.
The pub was poky and uninviting, burgers were about £9 a pop, chips had to be ordered as a side, and extremely over priced. And the most disappointing of all were the onion rings !
My friends and I kept remembering them all afternoon, and not for the good reasons. Oil was seeping in your mouth at every bite, so much so, they were left in their pretty little basket.
I love a good burger, but I've had much better and much cheaper before.

Our goal is to serve you the very best American cuisine at great value in informal surroundings.

However I find your review strange.

Strange that you apparently spent £110 with us, a lot of money in anyones books, and all you could base your 2* review on was onion rings!

Nothing about our service or the quality of the rest of the food that you ordered.

Also the fact that this is your first review on this site, I fail to believe that the experience we offered was so bad that you then had to go home, set up an account and be as vitriolic about us as you have.

We have listened to our customers that have reviewed us previously and commented about our prices and our new menu launched last week is much better value - Though to be honest, on the whole our menu has always been considered great value by the numerous customers who don't review, but simply come in and enjoy.

I'm sorry to say I cannot give your review any credence, it just doesn't sound right.

“Okay”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

We had burgers, fries and a shared side of coleslaw - it was okay but nothing special. The price point is a few quid too high on everything. And, yes, the burgers are quite small. £24 for the two of us felt a bit steep - Hard Rock Cafe kind of prices but in the back of a pub.

We really liked the Coach and Horses, though. An old fashioned pub with colourful locals, a very friendly lady behind the bar (I guess the landlady) and good beer and wine.

Thank you for your review. We've never hidden the fact we are based in a pub, and our burgers are 6oz, served in sizeable brioche buns.

However we have listened to our customers and I'm pleased to inform you that as of next week we shall be launching a new menu based on offering better value.

All burgers shall come with fries and coleslaw, and the price will be cheaper than that if sold separately as it currently stands. 15% to 20% cheaper in fact.
