A family visit to Whitstable made special by this great house.
Very well kitted out with all equipment we required.
Just a few steps from the beach and even nearer to the beautiful town centre. Great fish +chips just round the corner.
Family group of 6 which there was ample space .
We all really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.
Fantastic cottage in an unrivalled location - it's in the heart of everything but peaceful. The cottage was deceptively spacious with four large bedrooms (three with doubles, one with a single) and had everything we needed. We have stayed at a number of Whitstable properties previously and this has been our favourite.
Cottage well suited to groups and families (we are a couple with one young child, a baby and had two grandparents with us).
Lots to do in the area:
- Dover Castle, Walmer Castle and Gardens and Wingham Wildlife Park where good days out for the kids (and adults!) and the play area next to Whistable Castle was also very good
- Lots of great shops, pubs and restaurants in Whitstable (Old Neptune, Pearson's Arms and Elliott's are our favourites)
- The Sportsman in Seasalter and East Coast Dining ROom in Tankerton well worth the visit for a top quality lunch or dinner
We shall return (soon)!
Cormorant Cottage is, unusually, even better than the pictures & description would have you know. It has every amenity you could think of, is pristinely clean and has made a remarkable use of space in its tasteful refurbishment. Paula is the perfect hostess, helpful but discreet. We will come back often.
Great location , greeted by the lovely owner Paula who made is feel very welcome and comfortable. Lots of bars and restaurants locally just a short walk from harbor and shops. The cottage itself was cosey and clean, quaint decor and a lovely court yard out the back which i can imagen would be beautiful on a summers day !
We managed to light the open fire on Saturday evening ! There is nothing like an open fire and a glass of wine !
Will defiantly visit again.
A group of us stayed at Cormorant Cottage last week. A beautiful cottage that comfortably fitted the 6 of us. The open plan design downstairs was lovely, all the mod cons you might need, and a cute courtyard out the back. Location is amazing - right in the middle of town, and so close to the beach at the same time. The owner, Paula, is lovely, helpful and has a really cute little dog! If this place is free, book it before it's snapped up! We hope to return again in the summer.
We hired this cottage over New Year and it was beautiful. It was centrally located for the town and very comfortable. It was a very quaint cottage with 4 large bedrooms ideal for our party of 6 adults and there was also ample room for our 3 year old too. The cottage was very cosy in both the bedrooms, living room and eating area and well equipped. The log burner was a very welcome feature on the colder evenings.
The host Paula had provided a welcome bottle of wine and milk for the stay and was very helpful in going through the runnings of the cottage as well as the information pack provided.
The biggest complement I can give was that it felt like home and we didn't want to leave. We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and it was very reasonably priced too for the 3 nights we stayed when split between our party.
We had a lovely weekend break.. Excellent location a short walk to Wheelers restaurant a must visit for fish lovers. Extremely well equipped cottage with good WIFI.
