My husband and i stayed here last weekend for our first wedding anniversary and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel itself is a beautiful building, full of character and grandeur but so comfortable and homely at the same time. We spent most of the afternoon wandering around the hotel, playing snooker in the cellar and relaxing in the bar! The staff are amazing. They could not be more helpful and were all very polite and friendly. We ate in the restaurant at night and it was the most delicious meal i have ever had, in a very extravagant and stunning room. The wood paneling, beautiful ceiling and blazing fire made for a very peaceful and romantic evening.
Breakfast too was lovely. Plenty food and cooked to perfection. It was a little busier but we didn't have to wait long and again the staff were more than attentive.
I will most certainly be returning to Rosehill House for a stay over and also taking the family along for a meal. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 33 is lovely

I have just come back from spending one night here on business. It's in a great location, only approximately 1km from the Town centre. There is a good amount of secure parking and far enough from the main road to be quiet.
The staff are helpful and friendly and the room was spacious and relatively modern. My only niggle is that the shower is very weak and takes some time to warm up.
By far the best part of the hotel is the food. My colleague and I had an evening meal in the hotels restaurant. I had the pork which came with pork fillet and pork belly. It's probably one of the best pork meals I have ever eaten. The bar area is light and a nice place to enjoy a pint or two. Breakfast, which was included was another edible treat. Again, one of the best cooked breakfast I have eaten. The serving staff were very pleasant with constant drink refills on offer. There was also a choice of pastries, yogurts and fruit. The hotel itself is fantastically decorated with I can only assume is the original ceiling mouldings and panelling. All in all a good place to stay which is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay here if you find yourself in Burnley.

We have stayed here twice before as we have family nearby and knew that it was best to stay in the main house. We booked direct with the hotel and asked for an executive suite. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a generous sized bathroom. We had driven a long way and desperately needed a shower so we asked for more towels ready for the morning. The receptionist was very helpful and brought them up. We had dinner in the lovely dining room and really couldn't fault the food or the service. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The full English breakfast was what it said; full! Very well cooked and plenty of it. Plus cereal, juice and plenty of toast. The staff were really pleasant, friendly and caring - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for two nights and would happily have stayed longer. The price is so reasonable for what you get as well. Thank you all for everything and see you next year!

Room Tip: The main hotel is best.

we stayed last weekend as we have family that live nearby. Honestly we had the best time, the bedrrom was lovely and spacious and had everything you needed. we had a family meal in the private dinning restaurant which was out of this world and the staff really could not do enough for you, so pleasent and actually cared, you felt like you were really being treated and everything was done with a smile. Honestly the best Hotel we have stayed in for a long time. well done and thankyou.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8 a nice big family room.

My wife and I would like to thank the staff of Rosehill House for looking after us so well when we stayed there from Sat 24 May until Thu 29 May. Word got around that we were there for our Wedding Anniversary, my wife having put cards received on the dressing table. We were joined by family (children and grand children) on the Sat evening and received excellent service for the meal and later looked after by the barman. Unfortunately we can't remember everybody's name but a special thank you to Shannon and the "breakfast ladies", who we had more than a few laughs with. We had three evening meals in the restaurant and have no complaints. The food was excellent and the breakfasts to die for. Thank you one and all.
Observations - there was a lack of drawer space in the room and you could definitely do with a Porter (although I have to admit that various members of staff, including the Chef, offered to help when we were leaving.)
Thanks again - see you in 5 years time (hopefully).

Room Tip: Room 10 was good.

Hotel looked lovely when we first arrived. Nice reception area and breakfast area. Staff pleasant.
We were told our room was in the coach house.
Very creepy room-no windows that you could see out of. Two bedrooms that looked like prison cells (they do not show pictures of these rooms in their advertising photos) a lounge area with wicker furniture and strange ornaments, and a nice big bathroom. My sister dragged her mattress into my room to sleep on the floor as it was very creepy.
Very creaky floors so quite noisy in the night. Although we did both have a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was great-good selection and good service. Excellent.

Overall a decent hotel-good value for money, great breakfast. Just make sure you don't get a prison room in the coach house.
