The premises are a little tired and the bar and restaurant facilities limited but the atmosphere generated by the staff is excellant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though we did leave my wifes special pillow behind !!!!!!

Restaurant in the evening was closed, and only a couple of people had Breakfast there at, I think, £7+. Services were only 50 yds across a Car park so that was no problem. Room was comfortable, if not plush.. bed was nice and clean. Room was quiet, maybe because the Hotel was nowhere near full. Reception were very helpful. Would stay here again.

As always very nice staff, and clean room. Reason for ration very good as opposed to excellent was poor tv reception in room 76, some channels just would not work or kept going off. Only downside as a business user was I had a corporate deal worked out last year, this was not honoured and I paid the full price again. However the rate as it stands still is good value.

A motel that must have seemed like a good idea when it was built. 1963 per Wikipedia. so its trying to be a motel and you have odd thing like rooms reached along an outside balcony. Sure balcony views of the M6 how exciting.

So it looks a bit dated and the corridors feel it. As do simple keys rather than modern cards. The rooms I was in had clearly had a "refresh" and I would put it halfway between the two big players.

Walls a little thinner and the neighbours clearly made their own entertainment.

The room rate was very reasonable and the room seemed clean. However, there was an unpleasant, stale smell and we had to have the window open the whole time. The bathroom was old and tired, with rust in the bath and sink. The bedding was ok....but the duvet barely covered the bed and the sheets had seen better days.
All in all, it was ok for the cost, but we wouldn't stay again.

This hotel is situated at the side of the motorway, which was really convenient for ourselves and the places we wanted to visit. Our room was basic, but clean. The staff were extremely helpful and any request we had they endeavoured to help. We requested a travel cot, they ensured we had one, we needed a fan as the room was hot, they accommodated us. Good value for money.
