We booked this Hotel for a weekend away to walk the Pendle 3 Peaks. When we arrived the Hotel was very busy due to having 2 weddings on that day/evening, however, this did not affect the excellent service we received during the whole of our stay. The staff are very well trained and attentive and provided a very helpful, friendly service, which you don't normally receive at a large chain hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and to say the hotel was very busy, it was very quiet and we didn't hear a sound. Excellent restful nights sleep after full days of walking. We ate in the restaurant on one evening and again the service was excellent and the food very good too. If wanting to stay in this area for pleasure or business, we would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Our room was at the side of the hotel, sort of at the back, which didn't have a very good view, but was very quiet compared to our friends who hds a room on the ground floor at the side of the courtyard which, due to 2 wedding being held, was very noisy.

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend at this hotel, the hotel was very busy with functions and coach parties.

Our room was located behind the main building, accessed via an undercover walkway.

The room was spacious, clean and considering the activity in the hotel, quiet.

The buffet breakfast was well stocked and presented, and with the number of people present it was efficiently organised.

We enjoyed 3 evening meals in the restaurant, although on 2 occasions the restaurant was busy the staff were pleasant and efficient.

Although the hotel was busy, it did not detract from an enjoyable stay.

I stayed for two nights on business and it was great.

I stayed in a room on the courtyard. The room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated and needed some touching up, but otherwise was OK.

The big perk here are the leisure facilities, and it was great to be able to go for a swim before breakfast. Having free use of the spa and pool definitely makes it a good place to stay.

Food was nothing special - breakfast was standard hotel fare and the evening meal I had wasn't anything to write home about.

Although it is out of town it only took me 15 minutes to get into the centre of Blackburn, so not really an issue. (Note - my satnav sent me to a field about 400 yds from the hotel. Look for signs after you come off the motorway to make sure you don't get lost!)

I'm back in the area in a couple of weeks and will stay there again.

Great location just off the motorway, so idea for a business trip in the area. Quite a long walk from reception to executive room and took a few wrong turnings but room was very pleasing. Food very good a reasonably priced.
Great refreshing shower.
Recommend. Will stay again.
