We stayed here as going to a wedding at Whitewell nearby.
The Rose Room was already taken, but our rooms were fine - a twin with ensuite, and a double with exclusive use of shower and wc across the corridor. Everything was spotless, warm room, the beds were very comfortable, tea and biscuits provided, etc
In addition to the lovely breakfast , Doreen fascinated us with her stories of lambing and the history of the farm. She is a really friendly and generous host.

We stayed at Doreen's wonderful homely B&B for one night. We stayed in the Rose double room which was immaculately clean and comfortable. Doreen made us feel so welcome and at home, if we visited the area again we would definitely stay here.

We stayed at Doreen's guest house for one night as we were going to a wedding nearby. We stayed in the Rose double room, which had a beautiful view, very clean and comfortable bed. Doreen provided us with a key which was helpful as we were conscious in may be late'ish night. We ate breakfast the following morning which was lovely! Bread, like others said was very nice! Enjoyed our stay, excellent hospitality and we hope to return in the future.

We were delighted with Doreen's hospitality last November on our first vist. So when the opportunity came for another visit t the area there was only one choice.
One phone call and it was done. Same room, Rose, and same very warm welcome. A true gem to seek out and enjoy. We had four nights here this time and enjoyed every one and every breakfast. Doreens homemade Bread, Marmalade and Lemon curd. (the call it Lemon cheese in these parts but who cares? It tastes wonderful on Doreens home made bread.). Eggs, Porridge etc., all served to perfection. If it comes any better I have yet to find it.
The Countryside was recovering from unseasonal snow but we got several walks in nevertheless and the weather was bright and cheerful just like our hostess.
Coming back for more.

great little farm house B and B. Decor is a little chintzy - think lace toilet roll holders, tassel lamps and florals, which may not be to everyone's taste, but this is done well and fits perfectly with the style of accommodation - it wouldnt work any other way! Its a lovely old farm house in a beautiful setting with great hospitality from the hosts - you feel like your staying with old friends as they welcome you into their home. Very helpful, can't do enough for you. Helped us with taxi organisation from the wedding we went to in the area, and gave our friend a lift to the train station the next day which was very kind. Everything is clean and well presented, breakfast is cooked fresh to your order and they're more than happy to provide more toast and juice if you ask for it. The surrounding countryside is lovely with some beautiful little towns and villages near by. The price per night is very good considering the service. Well recommended.

Room Tip: This B&B is more about the friendly hospitality and lovely location than anything else!

We had business in nearby Clitheroe (9 miles as the Grouse flies) so elected to have a few days in Bowland. We picked this place from the Lancashire Guide and feel ourselves so lucky in the choice. From the initial phone call to the sad goodbye everythng was just as we had hoped.
We had the "Rose Room" overlooking the front Garden which was a dream. Window seat and two chairs for sitting in if we don't choose the shared Lounge after returing from our journies.
Everything worked well. Well we don't know about the TV as we never switched it on. Who needs a TV on holiday? The window was more entertaining.
Breakfasts? Well yes. Excellent in every way. After the first morning's splurge of nostalgia we reduced the intake to Poached Eggs on the last two mornings. Well turned out on lovely bread.
More fresh bread in good old Lancashire 'doorsteps' with homemade Marmalade or Curd to finish with.
The weather was not perfect but Doreen was all the sunshine we really needed. We are coming back.
