Description: Our cafe, deli and specialist cheese shop is located in the old Lee Carter Gym building between Castle Street and Lowergate. Best found by either parking in the Lowergate car park and coming up the steps in the left hand corner, or from Castle Street- nip down the narrow alley opposite Costa Coffee. The building is very long and thin so you can't see everything we do without exploring. There are also changes of level in the approach to and inside the premises and we will help anyone with mobility issues wherever possible. We have a loo downstairs, just ask, as well as the main one upstairs, but access still involves a couple of steps.

“Friendly and tasty”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

We had a lovely meal here. A good selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike in a really relaxed environment. I agree with all the other reviewers who describe it as a hidden gem. Particularly impressed by the fresh salads.

“Foolish to miss”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 via mobile

This is a gem of a place just down an alleyway opposite Costa. Although a cheese heaven I had the seafood platter which I had some months previous. The freshness and quality is still as I remember and so very happily recommend this place as one not to be missed and if you do more fool you.

“Gem off the main street”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Hidden in an alley off the main street in Clitheroe, this cafe provides first class service and food.
Whilst the choice is farly limited ,what we ordered was really tasty.Once you finished there is a great selection of breads and cheese that can be purchased.Staff were attentive and the place is really clean .A trip worth taking the time to find.

“Food source and made with care”
Reviewed 23 May 2014 via mobile

Relaxing lunch with my Mum. Light and airy decor. Wonderful menu keenly priced. Fish platter and feta and avocado salad both excellent. Food well presented. Artisan home-made bread and beautiful salads. Owner clearly passionate about food, quality sourcing and hospitality. Thank you.

All high quality home made food served by interested staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Jan has a passion for her food and baking. She certainly knows her cheeses!
We have found that nothing is too much trouble when ordering food for special occasions. A little hidden gem.
