The Grand
Ranked #6 of 19 things to do in Clitheroe
Attraction details

The Grand is a huge asset to the people of clitheroe, It is extremly well used, And has attracted some very good high profile names and bands, Hugh Cornwall from the stranglers, And bands like Wishbone Ash the dammed. This outstanding facility is only there thanks to the genorosity of Mr John Lancaster, Who found the finance to not only provide the facility but also to fund it. The staff are very polite and Freindly and on concert nights there is little queing at the bar, The people of clitheroe would suffer if this fantastic facility ever closed down.

We went to a birthday party at The Grand but had previously visited a month ago for a Led Zep tribute band evening and will be going back next week for a Genesis tribute band evening. The venue is awesome and a fantastic asset to Clitheroe. A friend had his 70th birthday party there with a hotpot supper and it was great. There was a rock and roll band playing and dancing and the supper was very tasty. The sound system is brilliant, must have cost a packet but it reflects in the high quality sound, so much so that it was much better than a recent concert we went to at the MEN Manchester. The drinks are very reasonably priced as well. Clitheroe is lucky to have such a fantastic venue and we will definitely be going back.

Went to a Friday Jazz lunch. Superb. The concept is brilliant, there should be more places like it. Food is limited but well priced and pleasant. Staff great. Service wants looking at. Slow because of method used. Music enjoyed. Comfortable seating and excellent lighting

We are regulars at The Grand for their monthly Soul afternoons which are on the last Sunday of each month. These are superb with a big dance floor and bar. The sound quality is also first class and there is always a big turnout.
The venue really makes it.
