The Hall is in a lovely location, once past the not so lovely Lafarge cement works, which should not detract from its appeal too much.I didn't stay so can only comment on the ground floor facilities but I was surprised by some of the fairly negative reviews of the upstairs rooms because the entrance hall, sitting room, bar and dining room are all tastefully decorated and well maintained. However, its not very big and the wedding I attented only had about 80 people. Many more may have been quite a sqeeze, particularly as the only room of any size is the dining room which had to begin the day as the wedding ceremony venue. Inevitably there was a significant delay before the wedding breakfast could be served, but if you are aware of this and prepared for it no particular problem.
The staff were excellent from start to finish, the food was good and the drinks prices not unreasonable.
A bit of a potential problem for some weddings may be the lack of a decent sized space for the inevitable evening disco/dancing reception but if you have the musicians there is an excellent grand piano with an adjacent small floor space for dancing. All in all, very good for a small to medium sized event with probably just enough car parking space to cope.
Well worth checking out if you need a quality venue.

Oh my days what a fantastic time we had!! We arrived at 'The Lodge' the evening before my daughters wedding and everything was there, we wanted for nothing. The Lodge is high end luxury decor and was the perfect place to start our celebrations. The fridge was packed with supper and goodies and we had everything we needed for breakfast the next morning. Barry popped down to see us to make sure we had everything we required before he went off shift. A lovely touch!

The next morning before we set off for the ceremony in the main hall the staff were on hand for those last minute touches/timings etc. They were absolutely fab.

Once we arrived for the ceremony I wasn't really thinking about anything except my daughter (the bride) - I didn't have to as the staff had everything under control. They are a slick, well oiled machine which on the day is a god send. Everything was in place from welcome drinks to canapes...

The rest of the day went like a dream... the meal was excellent (roast beef - perfect!) and afterwards and throughout the rest of the day Barry and Jen looked after us like their own.

The rooms were fab, the bar staff were just lovely, no one could do enough for us...and all with a smile!

Thank you so much guys - it was an important day and you were simply amazing!

Kath and Ian xx

Our wedding was held here on 16th feb 2014! From the date we booked it, to our perfect day, the staff gave nothing but 5 star customer service! We had numerous meetings before our big day along with attending delicious menu tasting events! We stayed the night before in the lodge which is gorgeous, then moved to the bridal suite with its breath taking view!!! No wonder Eaves Hall won wedding venue of the year!!!

We have just returned from the Valentine Masked Ball. We had an amazing night. Hayley and her staff were great and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be coming back. A beautiful house and fantastic setting.

Room Tip: The Hodder Suite was great for a romantic night away.

We were guests at a wedding at Eaves Hall in December 2013. It is a superbly beautiful venue for a wedding; every room is special. Also the food was absolutely delicious. We had the roast beef which was the best I had ever had!

Fed up of cooking each year we decided to go out for Christmas lunch. Eaves Hall was not our first choice but as its sister hotel Mitton Hall was booked up we decided to give it a try.
Table was booked for 2:00 and we arrived 20 mins early to find a table full of champagne, log fires burning and Father Christmas busy giving presents to the younger diners..excellent canapés were served before being shown into a beautifully decorated dining room to the sound of a live pianist.
What followed was a superb meal professionally served withe just the right amount of attention so that you felt special without it being intrusive.
In short, congratulations to the management and staff at Eaves hall on a excellent event
