I had a friendly reception from the landlord who showed me to my bedroom (the Miss Whiplash Room of all things! (She'd stayed there once apparently!]) The evening disco was well supported but not overly noisy. The bed, duvet and pillows were perfect and a good sleep was enjoyed. The room was well equipped and well supplied with tea, coffee etc. The food was very good and a very 'exotic' menu was available. Although I'd not noticed herds of Zebra in the Lancashire hills, one of the items on offer was zebra steaks! The beer was good and the locals friendly and the price was right. What's not to like?
