We spent the weekend here with our grandson. This is our first experience of a caravan park. It was booked only 2 weeks before travel & I wondered if I had made a mistake when I read some of the reviews, there were a lot of negatives. We were all pleasantly surprised. We had a 2 bedroomed caravan for the 3 of us & there was plenty of room. The 'Van was clean, well equipped & comfortable. Take your own towels & toilet rolls as these are not included, but bed linen is. We also took some washing up liquid & our own tea, cofee & milk, but if you don't want to carry things there is a well stocked Spar suremarket on site which is quite reasonable.
The staff are very friendly. A particular mention to Danny, who organises a lot of the outdoor activities, he was good fun, very patient & encouraged even the most timid of children. Also the pool staff were very good. Our grandson has severe eczema & while I was applying his skin cream after a session in the pool, one of the attendants came to speak to us & said that he also suffers from eczema. My grandson, aged 8,feels like he is the only one with the condition, but felt much better after talking to the attendant.
There are lots of activities for youngsters. They tend to be a little expensive, but they are very well organised & well run. Get a book of 6 activities for £36, it will save you money.
Outside the complex itself there is Fleetwood town centre which has some good shops & a great market. There is also the Freeport shopping centre, both of which are only about 1 mile away. We got a lot of our food shopping at the large Asda supermarket, opposite the Freeport.
Food on the site is quite reasonable, they do breakfasts, lunches & evening meals, catering for all tastes.
All told we had a fabulous weekend & would definitely come to the same camp again.
