The staff were knowledgeable , friendly and took the time to talk to you. I would recommend it to visitors and I noticed it was child friendly too.

We visited this museum on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews and our party (2 adults, 12 year old and 15 year old) all enjoyed it. I had read a lot about the history of Fleetwood in the past but the museum exhibits, and the enthusiastic volunteers brought it to life in unexpected ways. This small museum packs a lot in and manages to cover the fishing, port and tourism heritage of the town. I have visited a lot of museums but have not experienced one quite like this. What is most remarkable, given the museum is situated on Dock Street, opposite the empty space of what was once a busy port, is that it could actually be quite a desolate experience but instead it is a celebration of Fleetwood and the endeavour and resilience of its people. Worth putting 2-3 hours aside, and more if you have it!

What a night, activities coming out of your ears and all FREE for children, £2.00 for adults, the Punch and Judy show was show stopping, children sat on mats singing and shouting to the characters - wonderful despite the rain.
Well done to all who contributed long may your door stay open

Tucked away in Fleetwood is this little gem of a museum. Set on the cusp of the Fleetwood Peninsula it is a small, but detailed experience full of information for all ages.

Inexpensive and would be ideal for any age.

Fleetwood museum is a fantastic local attraction it situated at the top of Dock street round the corner from Fleetwood market, and over looks Knott end and Morecambe bay. The museum is well presented has plenty of knowledgeable local staff to show you round or to explain anything. It shows Fleetwood in its heyday as a big fishing port and holiday town all of it displayed to advantage. There is a lovely little gift shop and a very nice coffee bar serving delicious coffee and cakes. Downside there are a few steps up to the museum and some steps inside but if you can manage it well worth a visit. It is not expensive and offers senior and disabled concessions.
